It looks like they are adding some sort of yearly subscription to the order that you are signing up for.

Because similar deals have been around for a while. Last week they included the dual battery charger and spare battery. I feel like that's more useful than the mini tripod.

Yea you can cancel the subscription, but it's basically an accidental warranty + some other extras, free for the first year. Similar to apple care.

How do we get the Amex $40 cashback? I went through the checkout screen and entered my Amex card, but I don't see anywhere noting the cashback. I also checked the Amex Offers & Benefits but I don't see GoPro on the list.

I did online chat with Amex, they told me that there is no GoPro offer for my card and the enrollment for that deal ends on the 16? which is kind of wired but that might be why we don't see the offer.

He's probably referring to the offers that show up in your account that you add to the card.

I think that might be why the other thread with the same deal is marked expired, probably if you didn't activate the deal before you don't get it now?

...because this is an old deal; one in which i took advantage of in order to purchase my gp10 but that was a few months ago. the gopro sub has online video storage and you get a hefty discount on gopro accessories which is nice. many of you may not see the amex offer on your account because it went live a few months back and i'm pretty sure they were all taken by now.

That's a good idea to chat with Amex. Unfortunately, they said that after checking my card, it does not have a GoPro offer at the moment. They also said that not all card members are eligible for every Amex offer. Offer targeting can be based on many factors including but not limit to:

Product type
Card member location (billing address)
Spend pattern

They did say that they documented that I want the offer and Amex will review it for the next 90 days. Should the promo team have something that benefits me, they'll notify me. *Fingers crossed* for it to happen before next Friday.

Otherwise, guess I'll go with Chase for a 5% Paypal cb.

Try login to you Amex account online and activate cash back offer then you can see the GoPro link from Amex

Yea I tried that, but the GoPro cb isn't available to me. I even chat with an Amex rep and they said that the promo is only for selected members.

Man I have a chance to get a hero 9 from work as a rewards gift but I like the specs of the 10. I wonder if I could sell the 9 brand new and pay a bit more for the 10.
