Does this R6 have Optimus or a mux? I remember that the previous model was permanently locked to the GPU and only got 2 hours battery, though that might have only been the 360hz model.

I mentioned in the spec clearly that it has Advanced Optimus which is one step over the normal MUX switch as you can switch between the IGP and the dGPU without even turning restarting the laptop. normal MUX switch needs the laptop to be restarted before the GPU change to take effect.

Check your Amex card if you have Dell offer. Dell allows splitting payment so if you have multiple Dell offers, take advantage of it

Also same DPA10 coupon for 10% off if you use Dell Preferred Account to pay. Now decision between this one of the Alienware M15 R5 for $1714.99.... I can't decide... I like the 11800H but the 5900, 360 Hz display looks good too...

If you want TB4 then get this one, but otherwise get the AMD version, better performance and battery life

FYI DPA10 is not working on this. It looks like it is but when you go through the process, it will not take the 10% off on the final screen. Get screenshots. Also 8% cashback available. Would be a solid deal if you can get the 10% off plus 8% cash back.

I kind of like the build quality/design of the Alienware better, but the 16" 16:10 screen on the Lenovo is really nice. Also depends if you want Intel or AMD.

Not sure which I'd take.

That sucks..., maybe doesn't work on this dell segment site. It worked for the m15r5 and was able to get 9% cashback on top of that....
