Costco online sucks. No free shipping for executive members either

Sam's has me questioning why I have a Costco membership. Stupid Costco… online prices are higher than in store. 😒

It does… however I would incorrectly load the dishwasher & the compartment door would half ass open cause it'd be blocked by pots & pans.

stopped using pods, right back to using gel or powder for me

there's absolutely no benefit to the pods except convenience, it's just more expense and taking up more space per package
I've usually tracked warehouse prices. They don't typically carry powders but always have a gel choice. Has the volume pricing on dishwasher tablets not generally overtaken the per/wash pricing on gel and all but the most generic powder brands, making them the cheapest option? I think the contrast here is with laundry detergent, where tablets remain a premium-priced product vs. liquids or even some powders (looking at you, Gain powder fanatics).

Good luck!

Costco used to have huge boxes of Cascade powder but not for years now. I switched to the Kirkland pacs and they work well for me. When they go on sale, I stock up. It's on sale now for $7.99 for a box of 115. At this price, probably not much more than powder in a box.

Limit 1. Didn't try multiple orders though.
Sadly, it only works one time even if you try multiple (separate) orders. I have a Plus membership so get free shipping and would have stocked up on these if I could, but no joy.

Having said that, even Sam's regular price for this is the best I can find anywhere, including at Costco.

Pods are more wasteful, less effective, and more expensive than using powder. The slickest deal is to just get powder according to this video:
A slick deal is getting what you want at a good price, not what someone else says you should buy.

Ditto regarding the memberships. In fact, I'm about to let my Costco membership expire because as great as Costco is to do business with, their prices just aren't competitive with Sam's. Also, as you pointed out no free shipping even with the Executive membership is a bummer, especially since my nearest Costco is much less conveniently located than my nearest Sam's.

I bought these the last time they were on sale based on reviews and after using them a couple of times we noticed a foul smell when drinking water from cups. Only thing we can think of was the detergent change. Went back to the other one we use (Kirkland) and the smell was gone. Dishwasher is a newer style Bosch.

Anyone else have this issue with these?

Free shipping with Sam's Plus. Awesome value for the platinum pods. I have to agree with what everyone else is saying about Sam's vs. Costco. Costco has gotten all bougie with high margin luxury items and organic stuff while Sam's sticks with basics that don't encourage you to impulse shop. Sam's also has the scan and go feature so you can check out using your phone and skip the line. Total game changer! Why doesn't Costco have that??

Prefer the Cascades to the Finish tabs for sure, though I get the cascade + when I can find em on sale. No issues with these though, been working well consistently for a few years.

And? I like them. I don't go on posts about things I don't want to buy and tell people why they shouldn't buy them.

I had five in my cart when I realized it was only 1. I agree it's the best price anywhere.. and additional $5 was crazy good.

I wonder if that user posts about EVERY product he (?) thinks people shouldn't buy or if there's just something about these pods that caused them to be triggered. Maybe they hold a grudge after finding out the hard way that eating pods is a bad idea.

Just say no to pods. Normal powder is cheaper and works as well (if not better due to multiple cycle filling).
You popped into a pods deal thread just to say you don't use pods. Hmmmm

In my experience Costco's return policy is much better than Sam's.

$1.13 more for delivery versus in store pickup with a plus membership.

Out of curiosity what did you have trouble returning to Sam's? I ask because both claim on their respective websites to offer an unlimited return window on most items, with one difference being that Costco is more accommodating when it comes to returning cell phones (90 days versus 14 at Sam's).

https://www.samsclub.com/content/returns
https://customerservice.costco.co...-policy%3F

I've returned things to both but never relied on an extended return policy at either or been refused a refund for other reasons. I do know that Costco is reportedly willing to give a full refund even for partially eaten food items and I've never heard the same claim made about Sam's, though it's possible they also do that and I just don't know about it.
