Chase can deny an application too if you have 5 or more credit cards in the past two years with anyone, not just Chase.

IMO, the way their policies are set up for price matching and colleagues who work at Amazon...Its making me want to shop less at Amazon and more at B&M stores...they are more of a reactive dealer than proactive compared to B&M stores when it comes to deals.

The more we give to Amazon the less support B&M will be proactive in giving good deals and in turn, Amazon will be less reactive to match B&M deals (as another slickdealer in a different thread pointed out).
Dont get me wrong that promo is tempting, just personally cant pull the trigger for the reasons above.

Edit: approved. 200 gift card. Only a 5000 limit though.

o well,

ill just be using this at amazon for the 5% back anyway and paying the bill in full each month.

Applied for this card two weeks ago and got the $150 bonus. Physically received the card at about the time they increased the promotion to $200. Amazon rep is deferring to Chase card services. I told her it's not an issue with the card and that I want to resolve things on Amazon's end and now she's routing me to a specialist.

Soooo... we'll see.

Worked for me, and I applied 2 weeks ago. He gave me a promotional credit though not a gift card, item needs to be sold and shipped directly by Amazon.com. Just ask nicely, if they say no, try again later with another rep.

Same here. I applied 30 minutes ago and card was approved with a $5000 limit. When I logged into Chase Bank Online Banking, I found this card has been added to my list of cards and has a $10000 limit. I have an existing Chase bank credit card.

Check the chase app I initially got the 5000 limit page as well but my chase app shows this card will have a 20,900 credit limit

Mt spouse and I share prime benefits via household. I think she's the 'primary'. Some of the q&as mention that one person gets 5% and the other 3%. That's been the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger. Guess we could just share a single username but we each have our lists setup and whatnot. Anyone know how this works? What if I add them as an authorized user?
