You no longer need to use the code. Eddie Bauer has taken it away, still free shipping and discounted on page.

Sam's Club sells the exact same Eddie Bauer Jacket for $34.98. They don't advertise them as Cirrruslite but they look exactly the same including the fill # on the left cuff. Eddie Bauer packable jacket
The Sam's club and sierra trading post version are the exact same. The tag says cirruslite on both.

Can any owners attest to this jacket in cold winters? I am in northern New England and the price is great, but is EB Microtherm (at twice the list price) much warmer?

FYI, I just added the non-hooded version to my cart and it is showing as $39.99, no promo code needed. I couldn't pass that up.

Looks like sizes/colors are very limited at Sierra though.

Bought this two weeks ago. Worked well in 40 degree, NH, weather. Hasn't snowed here yet, so can't attest to real winter conditions. It is pretty light weight, so I also have some questions, how well it will work when its 0 degrees, without several layers.

I used the hooded version of this jacket in MA winter all last year. It's not insanely warm, but good enough on most days. I usually only use my warmer heavy jacket 3-5 days a year when it's getting really cold or if I need to spend a lot of time outside. Sometimes I'd wear my down vest under this jacket if it's getting colder. I really like mine so I ordered another one in a diff color. This year I'll check how it will hold up in Midwest winter 🥶

Thanks for that idea - that is a great deal! I can get an XL Tall to hopefully be just what I need.

I got one last year at $40. They are nothing special. You can get the exact same thing for $20 on Amazon, albeit without the Eddie Bauer logo.... a logo I might add that in the pictures appears to be embroidered but in fact all they did was silkscreen it on. For the simple-minded that means the logo is just spray painted on; it wasn't even applied with care. For the same amount of money, there are raincoat / crushable sets that can be worn separately or zipped together so the crushable jacket becomes a down-filled liner for the main coat.

Only idiots would buy this for $60. I was an idiot for buying it at $40. Consider yourselves educated.
Where is that jacket on Amazon?

Costo used to carry similar one for $29.99 over the last few years. I have one. It is my daily jacked in NE. Very good and durable. Wish Costco carried the male version this winter.

As someone who has lived in many places including MA, I would just like to point out something that most others wouldn't know. People who live in MA don't know what "cold" feels like to others. Put another way, Massholes wear shorts and flip-flops when it's 45 degrees outside.... LITERALLY. The vast majority of people will be dissatisfied with the efficacy of this jacket in the winter.

This is especially for those with more sedentary lifestyles, since this jacket is specifically designed for active use and won't really heat you at all unless you're at least walking around. That's because the jacket is designed to breath. Standing around allows your body heat to pass through the material. While active, the material's pores are constantly opening and closing, which prevents the loss of heat by only allowing air to permeate a fraction of the time.

Search for "ski winter coat jacket 3 in 1"

Wantdo is the brand of the one I bought, but when I bought it last year it was $50. It is now $80 it is surely worth the extra $20 compared to this. There are other brands of the same jacket for less however. Do yourself a favor and go look. You won't be sorry.

I lived in many places around the world and I certainly agree with you. You can see a person in Canada goose parka and UGG next to someone wearing flip flops and shorts at the same bus stop in Boston.
However I'd expect people to 1. Have reasonable expectations, and 2. Know themselves. You don't expect this jacket with 100ish grams of down insulation to keep you warm if you go fishing for few hours, even if it's 40 degrees outside. For a 15 min commute walk it's totally fine, even in below freezing weather. Also, I don't expect my mother, who wears like 10 layers when I'd wear a light sweater, to be comfortable in this jacket in winter.
