This is good down to about 40 degrees, maybe 35 with layering. It's a very light weight down jacket. If you want warmer from Eddie, go with their regular downlight jacket. That is substantially warmer. Above that you need a parka, like the superior down parka.

A basic jacket that does a decent job as part of cold weather rotation however after purchase you will still be searching for other jackets more stylish.

For what it's worth, I checked out the one in Sam's and it definitely felt thinner than the Cirruslite I got from EB a year ago.

I read somewhere that these name brand clothes that are sold at Sams Club and Costco are sometimes inferior quality compared to what you buy in the makers stores.

I have both jackets and use both jackets all the time, even at the same time occassionally. The 3 in 1 ski jacket with liner, dollar for dollar, is the better deal. That is what I said, and that is what i stand by. You're free to disagree but if you're going to disagree, you should pay closer attention to what you're disagreeing with. I went to the site and looking at the hooded version in a Large. Says available for pre-order only. Some colors will ship as late as December 10th.

Not very promising. Will they actually ship or will order be canceled after a few weeks?

I got mine about a year ago when I moved to SC. It is not super cold there, so I can't speak on that. But personally, it's been perfect for me! It's super packable, feels quality, maybe not the most attractive lines on the jacket, but I would recommend it!
