Just received a text the other day from Verizon offering up to $800 off any iPhone 13 for upgrading as a current customer via trade-in. The most I was seeing before was $350 to $400 for upgrading or for switching to AT&T or T-Mobile with an iPhone 7 trade-in (which is what I have). Currently they are offering $650 to trade-in (via bill credits) an iPhone 6 or newer towards an iPhone 13.

If you have an older phone & are on Verizon this seems like a great deal if you just want to upgrade. Check your account to be sure.

I didn't see this deal posted yet & wanted to be sure to let everyone know. I have no clue how long this lasts.

Update - Apparently an iPhone 6 or newer is eligible for trade-in offer of $650. Just checked based on another comment. Also, probably much better to do 24-month bill credits as opposed to 30-months.

Update 2 - Just went through the process for 3 phones - (2) iPhone 7 32gb black & (1) iPhone SE 2020. They showed as $800 estimated trade-in credit. I wonder if this will be the new black friday deal they're having come out in a few hours that their website shows. I'll update if everything works out or if they try to pull things when I get the new phone and trade at store.

Update 3 - It looks like this is a loyalty offer of some sort. I saw other posts on the Verizon subreddit mentioning the same deal. It looks like not everyone gets the same offers. For background, my family have been Verizon customers since ~2011 & we switched to Start Unlimited (current plan) back in ~2016 I think if I recall. I picked up 1 of the iPhone 13's for one line today but I won't know until I get the trade-in mailer to send it out (my old iPhone 7) to know if they give me the estimated $800 trade-in for a bit. Wishing everyone good luck with this, I hope everyone is able to get it, but based on comments it sounds like the type of phone (postpaid vs. prepaid), the condition of your phone & your account plan/how long it's been since you upgraded play into whether this offer shows up for you. We were actively looking to switch to T-Mobile w/3 lines and all of our phones were older iPhones (7 & SE 2020) that were paid off so I'm guessing they factored us as potential customers that would leave which is the reason for a better than normal offer.

Doesn't work with iPhone 6s prepaid. It says phone isn't qualified after you enter the emei info to validate.

Darn, I'm sorry to hear that. May be worth chatting with a rep. I tried adding some photos for reference others maybe can use. Yeah, there's no public info on this deal except from the text & in my account it shows up.
It showed up initially as $650 but when it gets to the validate emei portion that is where it is rejected.

Can the iPhone have a cracked screen or swollen battery?

I did see when I had to confirm my trade-in by selecting an actual one from my account that it asked if it was in good or damaged condition. I'd recommend logging in and seeing what it says but there is an option for damaged so it's possible it doesn't matter, I just don't know.

In a few hours they will have the new holiday/black friday deals so perhaps that may be a better deal. Otherwise chat rep or going into a store is all I can think of.

Picked up 3 new iPhones for the family for Christmas. Saved almost 2K USD in bill credits. Traded in two iPhone 7s (which the Verizon store told me just today that they were likely worth only $30 a piece lol) and an XR. Thanks so much!

Thanks. I just received 3 iPhone 13's that I ordered at the end of October with a $440 trade-in offer for iPhone 11. I'm contacting Verizon now to see if they will match the current $800 trade-in offer found in my account.

Showing $800 offer for my XR. I'm probably sticking with Verizon anyway since their coverage is best in my area. This makes the 13 basically free or the 13pro $200 net cost.

My SO has a Verizon plan that's 5GB / mo for around $50. She's the only line so an unlimited plan is at least $80 so it's not worth it just to get deals like this. I wonder if the deal would apply to her limited data plan.

I think I have this deal available. It's only available on one line, the line that I haven't done an upgrade or taken a deal on for a few years.

If you've got multiple phones, there's really no reason to go to prepaid or tmobile or whatever. I have a phone I'm making payments on, but otherwise I get unlimited everything on 3 phones for around $108-110 a month. That's like $36 a phone or so. That's pretty good.

Not sure if someone else mentioned this already, but my offer says the phone can be broken. I'm always concerned about a trade-in because most people's phones are not mint, and if they decline your trade-in I dunno what happens. But my offer specifically said "Broken". I have an iphone 6 that has a distorted screen and is a vicitim of "bend gate."

Edit: I'm getting a bait and switch. I select iphone 6 as my trade in and the screen says $1.66 a month for the iphone 13 mini. But I hit continue and when I get to the order screen it says $23.33 a month, which is regular price for the phone. It leaves my trade in blank, and I put in iphone 6 with cracked screen or something and it offers me $0 for a trade in.

I've got a lot of device dollars banked anyways, so I can probably get an iphone SE 2020 in a few months if they finally drop the price a little bit. That's annoying how they baited and switched me though.

I just bit the bullet. Any deal will require a long wait if it's iPhone Se or iPhone pro. Apple has these delayed till middle December. iPhone 13 regular is available

Same I'm looking at T-Mobile. It seems Verizon has another deal coming for Black Friday that will be releasing in a few hours. Wanted to compare with T-mobile Black Friday deal.
What's Tmob black Friday deal?
