Bought this twice. Both times it arrive with huge unseen internal cracks that can only be seen when it is turned on. Seems like it is easily damaged if not handled with care in shipping.

It is poorly worded for sure. Walmart is doing very poorly at wording.

It should say it is designed to upsize 1080P to rich 4k videos.

I have one I bought several years ago. It is 4K I use it as a monitor. Mine had wording as above. This is what it says on their site:
UHD Upscaling
Breathing new life into the colors of older movies and shows, UHD Upscaling upgrades SD, HD, FHD resolution nearly to the level of the masterful 4K picture quality the UHD display has to offer.

Smart tvs are trash. Your better off getting a regular tv with a plug in smart device

It makes the deal for me. The software on the smart ones is rarely updated. A firestick or whatever not that expensive. I hook it up to my laptop or Desktop and it is far faster.

Why wait for software to load when you may well have your laptop on anyway. They sell small Desktops that work far better than Smart TV's. You do not need much if you just want Smart TV like.

Most say it arrived broken. No big deal shipping does that.
Some say they bought the wrong TV thought it was Smart.

Please tell me other than that what reviews you did not like.

The ARC port only does 30hz the others do 60hz. Some TV's only have two ports. Many do not have ARC at all.

Have the larger 65" version of this TV. Honestly for the price, it's a no-brainer. Yes it's not great but picture quality is alright and while the deepness of the blacks is a little meh I think that it's perfectly adequate at this price/size given the supply chain issues. Probably a good small living room TV and excellent bedroom TV

I have a 10 year old 1080p flat-screen, is it worth getting a cheap 4k tv?

I think so. Even a cheaper one like this should blow away 10 year old technology

decent deal?
Last year was definitely the year to buy, this year is going to suck

For example, last years pricing:
50'' TCL - $128
55'' TCL - $148

I wanted to pull the trigger, but the sRGB is 88%... I read Tom's Guide on TV review and many TV with 96% are not good in terms of color.... This is way off? I like this one with many inputs and I can even connect my old DVD to it

Just bought it - not too worried about the TV not being smart. Smart people will figure out how to make the TV smart 😄

How has you experience been using it as a monitor?
