The Parfum Version is more dense and the woods/earthier base notes are more pronounced, whereas the EDT orange/citrus freshness is more pronounced. Ultimately test each and decide which one you like. The original is what I find the most versatile/fresh. So which one is better? Id say both are great and it just comes down to testing and preference.

I probably should have said "In general they're similar." But yes, there are definitely some fragrances where they're completely different. It seemed like you were addressing the three different types in general, not just Terre specifically. The fragrance I'm currently most familiar with (as far as having smelled all 3 types) would the Bleu de Chanel. All 3 (EdT, EdP, and parfum) each smells different but you can tell they're the same fragrance. That's been my experience with others over the years as well: most smell sorta similar, but not all.
