Here's a pic of the inside. The GPU has a 3 fan cooler and the backplate is very sturdy especially with the bracket securing it.

I'm not able to replicate this deal. I'm using an EPP account and get the same starting price of $2374.99. To 10GAMER2021 code is for laptops, 5GAMER2021 is for desktops, which also doesn't work with a discount program. I also tried WINTER10, which works in a non-discount program account.

Bottom line, none of the promo codes worked with a discount program.

Note: I replaced the 500gb WD Black with a 1 tb 980 Pro, which I now have slight buyers remorse and wonder if I should get a 2tb since they are $280 at newegg and the goal is to keep utilization/capacity ratio low on ssd's (Per Steve Gibson @ GRC/Security Now, words of wisdom)

I'm newer to computer mods so can you tell me how you replaced the stock one? I'm looking to do the exact same thing once it gets here. Is some kind of cloning/transfer process that has to be done since I'm assuming the OS is installed on the WD? My tower doesn't get here until the 30th and I'm hoping to take advantage on these Black Friday storage deals too.

Can someone recommend a RAM upgrade?
Would this be compatible?

Does motherboard even support Gen 4 or default to Gen 3?

It's literally under the video card.

Radiator fan (a Cooler Master 5000 RPM) was way too loud for my taste so I replaced with "Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1700 RPM (120mm, Grey)" based on some videos of Ryzen variants of this system and the thermals got much worse. I'm waiting on "Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM, Heavy Duty Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 3000 RPM (120mm, Black)" to arrive tomorrow and will update on how that does. Underclocked and undervolted while I wait for the new fan and it massively dropped the temps without really affecting gaming performance and it's almost silent.

Going to put the 1700 RPM in the front instead of the RGB fan.

Replaced the back fan with a "Noctua NF-B9 redux-1600 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1600 RPM (92mm, Grey)" and the airflow feels a little better there and a little less noise as well.

Also bought "Noctua NA-SAVP1 chromax.Black, Anti-Vibration Pads for 120/140mm Noctua Fans (16-Pack, Black)" but not sure if they actually help or not.

Waiting on an M.2 drive to arrive to add that, not looking forward to moving the GPU to do it.

Debating on if I want to add more RAM and mix since the HP Fury timings are 22-22-22-52 and not even close to what I would be mixing in with it.

I case swapped it into a Corsair 4000D ($80) which made a big improvement (CPU idles in the 30s) however the 120mm stock AIO is pretty weak under any load. I have a 360mm Arctic liquid freezer II ($100) coming as well. Should be good to go for a long time and open up some headroom for overclocks. I have heard of some people swapping out the 120mm AIO for Noctua HSF but I have my doubts considering the inside of the case heats up substantially under any real load.

Improvements in order of effectiveness:
1. Upgraded HSF (Smaller Noctua/Scythe that will fit the case) [$60]
2. 1 & replace case fans with Noctua equivalents [$90]
3. Replace case and re-use old 120mm AIO (lower temperatures than stock e.g. 30 idle / 70-80 load). Keep your case in the event of a warranty claim and you need to swap back in. Take pictures of how it's laid out prior so you put it back together exactly how it came. Should take no longer than an hour or two. [$80]
4. Replace case and replace 120mm AIO with 240+mm AIO or Big HSF [$140-$200]

If you keep it in your cart eventually HP will send you a unique 10% off code... wait further and they'll send one for 12%. Not sure how far it will go. Showing $2,111.99 for me.

Does the low hash rate affect anything else other than mining crypto? Will it make it less effective as a 3080 in 3D animation and rendering?
