Have bought many gift cards from Raise, never an issue for anyone who's concerned.
I bought a $53.42 Walmart eGift card for $50.45 last week when it was 5% off.
I added the eGift card to my account on 11/12.
On 11/13 The seller uses it to buy something on Walmart.com leaving $14.22 remaining on the eGift card.
Raise refunded me the entire $50.45
Interestingly, I had bought REI gift cards yesterday with 6% off for the highest discount without any codes available. Now the highest discount cards are 4%. I wonder if other brands' discounts were also decreased to compensate for the promo code.

I've bought 20+ Playstation cards from them. Only issue I've run into is they charged me twice for one of those, but once I contacted them they refunded the second charge.

When these promos go live, all the highest discounted cards get sold first, leaving the less discounted ones.
Have you seen this Target deal that includes REI gift cards:

Lost $100 to them a couple years ago - they sent me $0 gift cards and won't refund me.

I have bought at least 25 Walmart eGift cards and this is the second time this happened.
In addition to the discount, I get 2% with a shopping portal and 3% with my Bank of America Custom Cash Rewards, so it is 10% which is hard to get with Walmart.
How are you getting 3% extra with your BoA card? What category does Raise.com fall under?

Are you sure it was Raise seller who used Walmart GC you bought? Several years ago, I added Walmart GC to my Walmart account. My Walmart account got hacked and the thief used my saved Walmart GC to buy expensive drone. (I was saving up GC to buy PS4 for Christmas.) I have a feeling Walmart accounts get hacked a lot. I have never had my Amazon account hacked and I feel safe to save Amazon GC in my account. I don't trust Walmart account for saving GC.

To my knowledge, some deals are membership-only. Anyone can enter and pay with a gift card.

I've never had a problem over thousands of dollars worth of gift cards in 2.5 years of using Raise. I've purchased gift cards for probably at least 10 different stores/services during that time (mainly Lowe's). Not sure this service qualifies as a, "hotbed" for scams. Maybe some folks have had some bad experiences but no service is perfect. I would say that I might be an anomaly if I didn't have friends and family that also use the service without issue.
I don't remember ever having a problem when I used to use cardpool.com a few years ago but I do remember my brother had some problem with a purchase once. Totally different service and I've never heard anything but praise for Raise. Not saying mistakes don't happen. I just think that if it were to be a true hotbed for scams, I would have encountered something by now

Yup. I had my WalMart amount hacked last year too. The guy tried to send himself tires and some trinkets. I immediately cancelled the order and the dummy tried to purchase two more times before I could change my password which I immediately cancelled. He put his name and address in the delivery info each time. What a clown.

As a frequent user of Raise, I notice this same thing about every time they release a promo code. I've just learned to accept it because it always ends up being a bigger percentage off of the regular rate by several percent with a promo code but, I agree, it seems deceptive. I was surprised when the Lowe's gift cards standard rate didn't take a noticeable hit today. That's the one I usually keep my eyes on and it almost always drops by a couple percent when a promo drops

I've passed many times in a row now on raise promos because they never have anything in stock for good stores, such as newegg, usually not even many best buy ones, never amazon, etc...

Yes all the cards I seen on Raise is less then normal by a few percent. Standard sales tactics. Like cars. Have a blow out sale by increasing the the price then discounting to what original price was anyway.
