Don't be perturbed. It ain't a real good deal, but you weren't "taken". It's a so-so buy for this time of year. Just enjoy it.

So thoughts are this isn't a good deal? I'm needing a 50"-55" tv and don't want to have to deal w BF crowd. Looking to have shipped or convenient pickup.

Those are BF prices, so may not be available and IMO the Insignia is a much better brand than Element.

I just want to say how bad the alexa compatibility is with these things - I bought 3 last year on black friday to help furnish new house. Connected alexas or alexas around the house NEVER get things right with this tV. Try to turn TV on or change volume and it will say "Your TV doesnt support that" or "Fire TV doesnt support that". It will never get the name of your tv right so if you change it to "Bedroom TV" dont expect alexa to recognize it. You have to get the coding just right - "my TV" "my fire tv". And I mean exactly right for it to do any sort of command. And I forget all the time which is which.

That being said, for the price nice looking TV and all the other features, just the alexa compatibility pisses me off.

If you buy an insignia get the geek squad protection. One of mine crapped out just before 3 years and they replaced it with a newer model, same size.
