Great Deal at the $99 price.

I've owned 2 different Vitamix models (the classic tall version and the newer under the counter version with the magnetic container bases), a Blendtech classic, and this same Ninja.

The Ninja is my favorite of them all, and works the best.

The problem with the Vitamix and Blendtech, is that air pockets gets trapped at the bottom. The Vitamix tries to solve that problem with a tamper, and the Blendtech tries to solve it with a square shaped container. Both will overheat if you run it with the air pocket.

But the multi-level blades of the Ninja solve that problem the best, because the top blade continues to push the contents, so it doesn't get the air pocket at the bottom.

In my opinion, having owned all three for many years. The Ninja is better than the Vitamix or Blendtech.

The only reason you might not want the Ninja is because the blades are razor sharp, unlike the Vitamix and Blendtech that have dull/blunt blades. So that may be an issue if you have small children or something using this, because you have to be careful using and washing the blade tower of the Ninja.

99% of all blenders out there are complete trash. I think it's funny that people can look at OP's BL770 and comment it's 'old', 'loud', 'too big', 'too heavy'. It's big, loud, and heavy because it has a huge 1500 watt motor that is going to do the job Supremo. Or you could do what others do, either get a $60 blender that is going to have trouble blending a cored apple, or you can shell out $300+ for a vitamix and it will be a notch quieter than this BL770. The vitamix will still be huge, and heavy because good motors aren't tiny. And the poorest motors are light/small with big wattage. Big wattage sometimes means the motor uses electricity totally inefficiently. They will run hot, have poor power, tend to smell like burnt wires, have a moderate everyday price, and work poorly.

Unless you have seizures when hearing loud noises, I recommend getting this super inexpensive BL770 so you spend time with a real blender and know what a real blender even is, and can do.

There's a few choices that are just as good as this one, and about 99% others that couldn't hold a flame to this one.

Purchased this 2 weeks back, wife wanted all in one, as this one comes with food processor. We had preeti mixer & ultra grinder in the past, if you are a south indian, it does a good job in making dosa batter., better than preeti. In fact, preeti has only 550 watts power & this one has 1500w, it does make lot of sound, may be because of its power. Overall wife is happy as she doesnt have to deal with 3 appliances.. mixer grinder & food processor.

I bought it at Macy's website. The thread for that had shown that it had sold out, but I visited the website later on during the night (about two weeks ago) and it was in stock.

Came in last week and we set it up.

That's a badass blender. Gonna buy me some liquors to make me some margs this weekend.

This looks like the old model and same price from previous year, no longer shown in ninja's website. They should sell their new one for that price https://www.ninjakitchen.com/excl...h-auto-iq/

Got this on the last deal. Its HUGE so make sure you have the counter space.

The smoothie cups are too small and I dont see any larger options to buy that are compatible, so I may return it.

Some nice upgrades like the bigger smoothie cups and better processor jar. Not worth it for twice as much though
I wonder if the smoothie cups work with the older model

I have a similar Ninja model with suction cups on the bottom. Wouldn't you know it, the whole base opens up because the suction cups are too good.

I mainly bought the 1000 watt blender for protein ice creams. Paid $50 from Costco. Saw a deal for ninja creami from Kohls a couple weeks later, now only use ninja creami and never even setup the blender. Expensive for around $140 but I also got $26 in rewards/kohls cash to use to buy more pint containers. Ice cream is my guilty pleasure and making healthy versions keep me on track on my diet. And no need to spend $3- $5 each on store bought ice creams like halo top, carb smart etc.

This isn't the same. The one you linked is a lower powered unit. And less features. 1000watts vs. 1500 watts

So I'm using the one from Costco, for making green protein smoothies, similar application. It works fine but my only caveat. If it would be nice if they had a lid that you could open to put stuff in.
I do a lot of seeds and things like that so I have to put things in as stages. By the last stage the lid can be quite a mess on the bottom. If he added some kind of flap you could just put up and then seal down and be a lot nicer.

Didn't know they still sold this kit. I've been using this for 5 years now. Mine is a BL770-30 1500W. Still going strong. Not sure if there were small changes over the years or not. My containers look a little different. No issues at all in my use cases I don't use the slicer attachment much but everything else gets used.
