You would need a box for it and an amplifier minimum. You may need either a head unit or an adapter to use it with your OEM unit. Depending on your needs, this method may not be for you. One or two 12s would absolutely slam, but a self contained 8" or maybe 10" setup would still sound great. What kind of vehicle and music you running?

I have 12" alpine type R hooked up to MMATS amp in my old Saab 900 vert. But for 29 bucks id like to see my MMATS amp crush this one day this summer.

Recently put a hole in the factory sub in a 2008 RAV4, would this work as a replacement? Has the "premium" stock stereo system

Edit, just realized it's an 8 inch sub under a 12 inch cover

Don't buy this if you want real bass. I had it then changed to Alpine Type R. You just need only 1. More than enough to shake the car and bast your ears.
