It's all relative - we own two Dyson vacuums and they're great. You pay a premium for overengineering.

Both a $2000 TV and a $200 TV will play the game, but one is better.

A first class ticket and a coach ticket will both get you there, but one is better.

My wife is the farthest thing from being materialistic. But I got this for her as a gift and she absolutely loves it. She can't believe how much less damaged her hair is than it used to be. So while it's certainly expensive, I wouldn't consider wanting healthy hair as materialistic. This thing truly works.

I believe 20% off is the everyday price for repeat customers. So if you have a Dyson product, register it and then talk with a Dyson rep.

Last I checked Miele still uses a bag lol. This is 2021 not 1971. Vacuums have moved onto being cordless, less bulky and use canisters. You complain about Dyson being overpriced and then talk about an even more overpriced vacuum with an antiquated design from the 70s.

We bought the refurbished hair dryer 3 years ago. It's still working. I must be lucky. I agree it's overpriced at $400.

1 year warranty on a super premium product is a huge turnoff.

I don't mind spending a lot for the best quality, but if this thing is actually high quality, it should have a long warranty to reflect that.

Short warranty = they know it will break soon.

Lesser noise , slightly quicker drying , reduced tangling ... bought it for my nieces as a gift the last time it was around at this price in April .... they just love it and say they can't go back to a regular hair dryer anymore....

ordered one for my home time...Somehow it is easier justifying $320 as compared to $400 Smilie

How's the noise on these? Hairdryers can damage hearing, protecting against that is worth a high price, if these are significantly quieter than a "quiet" regular hairdryer (those who are specially made and marketed as being quieter — still loud, but less so).
