As a plus, cheaper than buying the replacement proprietary Klein bits ----you throw the tool away and buy a new one with bits. For that, a thumbs up, but it now appears to be the normal price at HD.

Assembled in Taiwan Klein, but better than direct from China like most of their electronics, Klein continues to disappoint many. But, if these were made in the USA as what Klein built their name on, the price would probably be double.
Just like this style that my Grandfather used, I am slow to change and would rather support quality German manufacturing over presumed junk from China. Surely China can manufacture quality something. Personally, I like ratcheting screwdrivers and especially for a stubby that is typically used in tight places. And since these are non-insulated 'for electrical work' and made in Asia, the Stanley brand [homedepot.com] is fine. For the most part, it is the bit that counts and for those, made in USA Apex has been the best you can find.... and cheaper than Klein.

It does not show 'Special Buy' or list a discount from retail, so I kind of have to agree with the OP description and that poster until proven differently. But, at this price, they are cheaper than buying the proprietary replacement bits that are the real back end profits.

I have a bunch of generic ones that I think I got from Menards or somewhere like that.

Well, maybe, but that would be akin to saying generic bits are just as good as the high priced Klein. And I would probably agree.
Actually, I think the generic ones are a touch different in length and do not stack well with the Klein.
