I am in the process of returning this tv to amazon right now. Pretty painless except for boxing the thing back up. I set a pick up time and the delivery driver will come to my house to get it. I have to be there to sign off on it being picked up. Everything was done online at amazon and took less than 2 minutes to schedule the return.

He's talking about 4K 120hz gaming. Currently very few people have the gear that can hit those marks and of those people there's even a smaller percentage that actually need it/use it on a daily basis.

It's a thing people do that they need to have the latest& greatest technology and anything else is garbage and a waste of money. ( Tech companies' love those people, they're their Bread & Butter)

Today many people see 1080p TVs as obsolete, useless and worthless even though 90% of what they watch is SD, HD & HD+ content and it actually looks better in a 1080p TV than a 4K TV.

I've had this in my Amazon cart for at least a week or so. It's been this price since then. I'm waiting to see if it drops a little more before I bite.

Walk away. 120Hz is what you want. I get cheap price, but artifacts, especially quick moving pictures like sports and some movies and even streaming - will eat up that "cost savings" all day in lieu of your frustration. Nothing will compensate for the Refresh Rate: 60Hz.
This TV is rated pretty highly in the budget-priced category. Any good budget-priced options for TV's with a higher refresh rate? I'll primarily use the TV for tv shows and sports (football and hockey). No gaming. And non-OLED. Thanks 😊

I have access to zero content that is 120Hz. Everything I watch is 30Hz to 60Hz. Where are you getting 120hz content? Bluray?

Nothing that is 24 frames per second (I watch a LOT at that rate).

While 30 and 60 divide into 60 just fine, 24 does not.
BUT 24 divides nicely into 120 (and so does 30 and 60), that's why most people like it as the minimum.

You don't need 120Hz for a Thursday, Sunday and Monday Night Football, Great picture as is.

This is exactly why I purchased this TV. Nothing is streamed at 120hz and I don't play video games on it.

I'm using this tv with an Nvidia shield and it looks amazing. Way better than my 2017 Vizio m60.

It may be rated highly, but the two areas you want it for will most likely be lacking. In our Nvidia forum, people have an issue with their Shield and what they are streaming and the clarity sometimes. Most times the Shield and connection is fine, the panel however is only 60Hz.

However - from Rtings:

The Hisense U6G has a simple 60Hz refresh rate, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate technology (VRR). There are other budget-friendly TVs that do support it, like the Vizio M6 Series Quantum 2021.

And from their synopsis at the beginning - it may be okay.

Here's the link: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/u6g
I'm using this TV with the Nvidia shield and it looks amazing. Picture is smoother than my Vizio m60 which was 120hz.

Does 120 let me see the play before it happens?
