Haha. This is what I was referring to in the other post. I figured it might go down. It was weird how you couldn't do store pickup before, at one point, so I knew something was going on.

OP - should put step in the title. Big diff between an 8 ft straight ladder and an 8 ft step ladder.

/edit - would recommend pick up in store. The last one (a 6') i ordered from HD came with a bent back rung.

Any chance the 10 foot will go on sale? I need them for my hedge bushes on the side of my house, they are pretty tall.

Most 10' step ladders are more heavy duty, like 300lb limit. So they generally cost more. So I doubt there will be many deals past 8'.

I own this ladder and it's great. It's a handful to move around if you use it in the house. Keep in mind, it has a giant footptint when opened. Not that big of a deal outdoors but indoors, you may be moving some furniture to be able to lock it open. It was very stable, even with my 210 lbs up on the second to top step for extended periods painting and installing ceiling lights. I have the 6' version and knew it would be 2' taller but until it was delivered, didn't realize HOW much bigger and thicker the frame would be. This is certainly a big boy!
