I bought this vacuum a year ago, and I have had no issues with it. It works just fine on our solid floors as well as our low profile carpet in the bedrooms. We also keep a bigger plug in vacuum for our thicker area rugs as well. Keep in mind since it's cordless the battery life isn't the best when using turbo mode, but again, keep the vacuum near it's power cord when you put it away and it's a non issue. I have 3 kids, and a cat, and this thing does it's job well, but I'm vacuuming everyday, and it's very convenient having this thing around.
To the people saying its loud, you guys are ridiculous. It's........a.........vacuum. I haven't ever used a vacuum that isn't loud. My mom's Dyson is loud, my plug in vacuum is loud, this cordless Shark is I guess "loud." It's no louder than any other vacuum I've ever used.
It's a great product, with way more positive reviews than negative, and vacuum reviewers also agree. This is a great deal.
I'm generally a Shark fan, but this just isn't that great. It's loud, hard to clean, and had a hard time sucking up loose fibers and pet hair. It's decent on hardwood but horrible on carpets. The lights to show your cleaning path are cool and a nice touch, and I like the stay on feature vs holding the trigger that Dyson makes you do.
I'll be grabbing the Dyson V10 on Black Friday. I'm also keeping an eye on the LG model at Costco.

I'm generally a Shark fan, but this just isn't that great. It's loud, hard to clean, and had a hard time sucking up loose fibers and pet hair. It's decent on hardwood but horrible on carpets. The lights to show your cleaning path are cool and a nice touch, and I like the stay on feature vs holding the trigger that Dyson makes you do.
