Infrared is not worth beans if you're taking human temps. Inconsistent, innacurate, and rare a fever. I've seen hundreds of patients come into the ED and get scanned clear by the Infrared at 97.7F. Two minutes later in triage they have an oral temp of 102. Great for other stuff, not so great for people.

If I wear a hand warmer in my chest, would this turn into lazer tag?

The 2020 strike-thru price would have been $199

Looking at all the prior deals and similar knock offs, looks of this deal is not reassuring.

Place mouse over that link - Only if damaged or defective on arrival

Link says: Return policy: Refund or replacement available

but popup says: This item is non-returnable, but if the item arrives damaged or defective, you may request a refund or replacement.

Yes u can. Only limitation is distance as u have to be within -/+ 6 inches to get a reading if any. You will also have to buy 2 and some hand warmers. Best would be buy a lazer tag set of 2 for cheap.

Truth. We need to reimplement our standards again when it comes to thermometers. These were never designed to check for fever. Especially for at home use. If you're screening hundreds of people and sensitivity isn't much of an issue sure. But if you've got a 3 month old at home and this thing doesn't catch a fever and it's meningitis then that would not be a good thing at all. If it's for home use do yourself a favor and buy an in ear thermometer. Or just a cheap oral thermometer. It will be much more accurate. And rectal (made for rectal use) only for babies less than 3 months.

Any good ones out there? Don't have to be cheap.

This is a good one. But they are all quite similar.
