There's comments like this in every MacBook Air M1 thread, but have no clue what they're talking about. Look into how this thing actually performs instead of thinking it's the same as the Intel chipsets with 8gb of ram.

I've heard this as well..but that purchasing using the Costco Visa and heck a lot of cards out there does double the manufacturer 1 yr warranty via the Visa's insurance underwriter. But that doesn't require a purchase at a Costco either.

The more than half off apple care + warranty u can buy on the day of purchase of the hardware is where the real value prop comes into pay imho. Along w the 799 price tag of course.

I like to know if this is true. Anyone wants to chime in to confirm this???? I like to know if the extra warranty applies to the iphones purchased at Costco with the Costco Citi card ….

I'd made the same comment a couple years back, but Apple and the M1 is shaking up the normalcy of hardware spec that the Windows kernel (among other factors) got us so used to. Throwing more ram at wasteful or apps lacking less than efficient code and/or resource management can only take us so far. Thank you apple for pushing this envelope and thus forcing other companies to follow suit or fall to the wayside.

Apples and Oranges.. no pun intended.
