There's comments like this in every MacBook Air M1 thread, but have no clue what they're talking about. Look into how this thing actually performs instead of thinking it's the same as the Intel chipsets with 8gb of ram.

A year old laptop that is going to run circles around any other comparably priced laptop.

Costco has two years warranty, so that's a plus

And only sparse rumors about it being updated spring of 2022, so it's not like it's going to be replaced by a new mba too soon after you buy it. Also possible that the complete redesign of the MacBook Air will lead to a slightly higher price tag next year.

Will Best buy price match with Costco?
Highly unlikely. They've shot down other pricematch tech deals happening recently citing corp policy for BF/ CM sales ( not just sales on those particular days either).

You have a better chance of Best Buy just simply offering this same price or maybe beating it like they prev did this past summer.

you will be waiting a LONGGGG time and even then you most likely wont find a deal

you could try going to the refurbished Apple site but they rarely have 16GB models without increased storage (512GB)

you could go to the Apple Education store - this same model with 16GB is $1079

the next best place to find deals is Apple Insider website which posts deals from stores like B&H - the previous poster gave a link to a 16GB Macbook Air for $1099 at B&H or $20 more than the education store

even waiting until the next refresh of the Air wont help as stores will be clearing out their stocks of the base units not upgraded units

Education store is your best bet with the discount on AppleCare+ you are looking at roughly $1260 before tax for a base M1 Macbook Air with 16GB of RAM.
Eh it was just $999 a few weeks ago. Missed it by hours.

Always wondered what games ever worked in the previous intel macs and these m1's. Can you list a few, thanks.

This is a deal BUT You cannot add RAM to any MacBook Air or upgrade SSD.... and that is why I hate Apple.

Every laptop that i owned, I have upgraded the RAM and hard drive.

I just got the Costco ad, and just a heads-up, starting Nov 22 the M1 Macbook Air 13in, 8GB, 256G HD will be $150 off, so going for $799.99.

I know there was a past Best Buy Labor Day student deal for this for $750, and I've personally been holding out for it, but $799 seems to be the next best price since then.

Costco comes with an extended two-year warranty and a 90 day return. I think that's worth an extra 50

I have until Jul 2022 to buy this macbook for one of my relative. Should I buy now or you think similar or better price will be available later?
Hell noooooo! If you've got that much time, there'll likely be much better deals

Old rumors, the latest rumors state Fall 2022 due to chip shortage

I previously purchased this for 850 and haven't opened it. Still in the 90 day window. Do I need to return and rebuy to get a price adjustment or can I simply call them?
To adjust the price, they want the original receipt so you'll likely have to visit one of their warehouses

I have never bought a computer from Costco before. Is Costco easy to deal with if there's a problem with the computer under warranty? Does anyone have good experience? Thanks.
