Nice price. Hopefully bhphoto price matches.

Edit:
Looks like bhphoto did price match somewhat. The 24-70mm G is 1490 and you can pay using payboo card and save on taxes. Tempting!

I am waiting Sony A7 series on sales. Would you please recommend that I should buy A7R III or wait for A7 IV? I am working on small products photography and love to shoot some short videos, primary is taking pictures not video. And I found Sony has only 1 Macro len 90mm, it is not G master series, there is any G master series for wristwatches macro shoots? I am newbie for Sony and transfer from Canon. Thanks

Personally I would wait for the new A7 IV, but there will probably not be any discount. The 42MP of the A7r iii is nice, but the 33MP of the A7 IV is still pretty good and also there are a bunch of improvements over the a7r iii. You should look up these improvements to see if it is worth it to you. However I would do the math on the cost to move to sony. In the long run, I think it will be cheaper to use sony than Canon, but in the short term it might be cheaper to upgrade the Canon body if you already have decent glass for your Canon.

Thanks for your advices, I think I need to wait for A7 IV because It has a lot of improvements fit to my needs. Also I do not care much for the MP because all of them are better than my Canon 6D mark II 😅

Can you pm me the edu link which shows 1398 in focus camera that I can use to price match with BH. For some reason I am not able to get the student account verified in focus camera but I can in bhphoto.

There is no bad macro lens. Even the Canon non-L 100mm macro is as good as the L version, image quality wise. Plus, you can always adapter your existing Canon macro lens since focusing speed probably isn't an issue for product photography. I am adapting my Canon MPE 65mm to Sony and since it's a manual lens, there is zero disadvantage for using the adapter. Personally, for product photography I think a7r iv is a better choice than a7iv. Considering they are about the same price right now, you are basically choosing between a7r iv with much more MP, better VF, better screen, 10fps burst speed on uncompressed raw, 26mp 1.6x crop, vs. a7iv with bird-eye AF, 4k 60p on crop, 10bit video, H265. If you don't shoot video too much, and don't care about bird-eye AF, I see no reason for choosing a7iv over a7r iv. What kills me for a7iv is its 6fps burst speed. That's just unacceptable.

I hear the menu system on the A7 IV is so much better than the one on the A7R IV. Note the A7 IV menu system will not migrate to the older A7R IV due to not having the Exmore XR processor even though it has a touchscreen.

Also the A7 IV has a fully rotating screen which can help in certain situations even for photography. I'm sure there are a lot of other upgrades I have not mentioned here, but yes if you are only photography and need the 61MP then A7R IV might be a better buy than the A7 IV. But if you are comparing to the A7R III, I think I much rather wait for A7 IV even if the price is higher due to the upgrades you get with the A7 IV.

Sorry I don't have access to the Focus camera one. Someone else might be able to help you here. I can only see the B&H education discount.

I think these are all great cameras and for 90% of use, they probably all work great. So one really need to choose based on what's absolutely unacceptable rather than what's better. For me, minimum f/8 PDAF for a7r iii is unacceptable. I need at least f/11. And 6fps burst speed for a7iv is unacceptable.
