This says gas powered, and I was expecting natural gas (as in, a connection from the gas line hose of your home). Seems this is propane only.
They sell a conversion kit, which is also on sale.

Seems "OK" but for about the same money you could buy a pellet grill, which cooks pizza very well.
No way, pellet grills dont get nearly hot enough if youre going for real neopolitan pizza

Problem is they almost never do deals anymore, and definitely not on 16"
The 16 is on sale too, and is the only one that can be converted to natural gas with a $49 conversion kit.

I would have honestly thought the same but now having made 10 pizzas on my pellet grill now it gets plenty hot enough with my ceramic briquettes insert and a pizza stone.
The pizza i can make at home on my pellet grill rivals most wood fire pizza places I've tried.
I love blaze pizza and my pizza at home is just as good, for reference.

There are conversion mods out there for natural gas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X5mAvP1rOw

Jeez wasn't this thing like $100 less when it launched? I remember early sales being around the $250 mark. Down from $300.

Do you guys really bake your own pizza? or will continue baking if you have this? The oven is the easy part. Getting the pizza ready to bake is the hard part.

Looks much easier to move then the pair of pizza ovens I helped double stack a few years ago for my in-laws restaurant. I guess it was worth it because I will never need to think about wanting a separate pizza appliance at home. Maybe I'll suggest a dozen of these if his ovens go out again. 😆

Yes! They have raised prices twice since the start of 2020.

They had material shortages during COVID shutdowns. They also have not been able to keep up with demand.

Yeah, I debated that point quite a bit and my wife protested my purchase exactly for this reason. After a year, she has admitted that she was wrong and she asks me to make pizza every few weeks. In terms of making the pizza, you can spend a lot of effort on it, but you don't have to. I've tried making dough and sauce from scratch a few times but that was too much effort for me. Now a days, I just buy pre-made dough from Trader Joe's at about $1.50 a ball (which I split in 2), a jar of pizza sauce from them, sliced mozzarella from Costco that we pretty much always have on hand, and whatever toppings. It comes together pretty easily/quickly.

My routine:
- Pull dough out of fridge and let it rest on floured surface (30 min of rest time)
- 15 min into the rest period, I fire up the oven (needs at least 15 min to get the stone up to temp)
- Spend ~15 min chopping up cheese/toppings.
- At this point, toppings, dough and oven are ready, so I assemble it and throw it in.
- Each pizza takes a couple of minutes to assemble and 3~4 min to cook.

I think that was the wood version. It hit $200 on sale a couple years back

I have the 14" and am perfectly happy with it. Makes nice personal size pizzas, which is all I use it for.
