Get the 16" folks.
Yeah, I debated that point quite a bit and my wife protested my purchase exactly for this reason. After a year, she has admitted that she was wrong and she asks me to make pizza every few weeks. In terms of making the pizza, you can spend a lot of effort on it, but you don't have to. I've tried making dough and sauce from scratch a few times but that was too much effort for me. Now a days, I just buy pre-made dough from Trader Joe's at about $1.50 a ball (which I split in 2), a jar of pizza sauce from them, sliced mozzarella from Costco that we pretty much always have on hand, and whatever toppings. It comes together pretty easily/quickly.

My routine:
- Pull dough out of fridge and let it rest on floured surface (30 min of rest time)
- 15 min into the rest period, I fire up the oven (needs at least 15 min to get the stone up to temp)
- Spend ~15 min chopping up cheese/toppings.
- At this point, toppings, dough and oven are ready, so I assemble it and throw it in.
- Each pizza takes a couple of minutes to assemble and 3~4 min to cook.
I agree, we make 14" pies in the Koda 16 regularly. Personal recommendation - I would make your pie 2" smaller than the size of your Koda, the size is a max size, you don't want your crust right up against the flame wall.

If anyone is really cheap, checkout Vevor's 12" Koda clone, it is only $230 with peel/case/cutter and is almost a 1:1 match in terms of quality. I've done 10 pizzas so far with no issues. Fit and finish is the same as Kodas I looked at in person.
Thanks! I just commented about your comment and forgot it was in this same thread. I'm about to pull the trigger on the Vevor 12" as it appears to be an exact replica for less $ albeit it appears that the gas hose is a separate purchase?

FWIW, code black8 gets another $8 off the Vevor clone.

Looks like you may be a clueless dumbass. I'd never heard of Vevor or Ooni for that matter before finding this thread. I'm just looking for an affordable pizza oven. But thanks for your priceless contribution to the thread.

This says gas powered, and I was expecting natural gas (as in, a connection from the gas line hose of your home). Seems this is propane only.

Lol! What??? Why in the world would you think they meant connecting a gas line from your house? Please tell me that was a joke.

Took the bait. Ordered the 16 for the natural gas connection. Do you all buy their accessories too?

I did the same. Have a natural gas line on the patio so got the attachment also. Not sure if that's a generic item that could be purchased at some hardware store but it wasn't that much more.

For anyone looking to get the natural gas conversion kit, apparently it only works with the 16 inch version of this (Koda 16). Its a pretty decent price though if you have a line already.

I'm torn between going for the 16 (surprisingly, got wife approval, lol), this one or the Vevor 12" koda clone that's $100 less.

I'm just concerned that the 12" version is going to be too small to work with without burning the pizzas as they are so close to the flame.

Looking for a good comparison between the 12" and the 16".

It is also on Amazon at the same price and sold by Amazon. So, you can use the discover CC 40 dollars discount if you use at least one reward point. I still have mine and also have another 40 (Amazon screwed up), so I could get this for 80 dollars less... Just not sure as the bakerstone is also a great propane oven. I am looking for something smaller than my larger clay oven for when I bake a couple of pizzas instead of 10 or more. For the dough, I read that many get it from the store. Big mistake. Get some 00 flour from Italy with a high protein content. Use good yeast (not the one that is pumped up.. I use Caputo yeast). Water should be of great quality and I use Himalayan salt. I generally use very wet dough (65% and above). Invest in a good scale to weigh your ingredients and a jeweler scale for the yeast as you need very little. There are some good apps to calculate how to make your dough. Been baking pizzas for over 40 years. Here is a good review (check the others as well) https://www.techgearlab.com/revie...ni-koda-12

Any idea if the vevor would work with a generic natural gas conversion kit?
