Yeah, I debated that point quite a bit and my wife protested my purchase exactly for this reason. After a year, she has admitted that she was wrong and she asks me to make pizza every few weeks. In terms of making the pizza, you can spend a lot of effort on it, but you don't have to. I've tried making dough and sauce from scratch a few times but that was too much effort for me. Now a days, I just buy pre-made dough from Trader Joe's at about $1.50 a ball (which I split in 2), a jar of pizza sauce from them, sliced mozzarella from Costco that we pretty much always have on hand, and whatever toppings. It comes together pretty easily/quickly.

My routine:
- Pull dough out of fridge and let it rest on floured surface (30 min of rest time)
- 15 min into the rest period, I fire up the oven (needs at least 15 min to get the stone up to temp)
- Spend ~15 min chopping up cheese/toppings.
- At this point, toppings, dough and oven are ready, so I assemble it and throw it in.
- Each pizza takes a couple of minutes to assemble and 3~4 min to cook.
I agree, we make 14" pies in the Koda 16 regularly. Personal recommendation - I would make your pie 2" smaller than the size of your Koda, the size is a max size, you don't want your crust right up against the flame wall.

Same prices, although limited selection of items, at Bloomingdale's. Tried stacking with a 15% coupon and no luck.

I tried the same and it didn't work. However, I checked their exclusion list and the OONI brand is not on there. Wonder if that's something we can contact them about...

MEH, warm deal at the best. everything they make is backstocked for months. I would check aftermarket for used units. I found some on sale from local people that "got it but used it once or twice, dont need tit anymore"/

Can't stack with 15% coupon, but can get an additional 20% off if you open a line of credit.

Seems "OK" but for about the same money you could buy a pellet grill, which cooks pizza very well.

sure, but then again, its pellet grill. many people dont want to deal with adding pellets, managing airflow, etc. its easier to just connect the propane tank, dial in the temp and start making pizzas in 15-20 mins once the stone gets to temp.
