To stand up from the bench I lean the end of the dumbell on my thighs so that notch would suck.
Looks like the Core Home Fitness set is on sale for $350 right now too. Nuobell worth $150 more?
The pro exp sound like a better bet ... I'm no where needing the expansion at the moment but I do want to set them up with a bar.

Realistically once you get over 75, it's best to purchase separate dumbbells that take abuse, just pricey
the pro exp is obviously expandable to 90lbs,has the rubber soft coating, weights don't clatter when in use, can take more abuse than the steel powerblocks and much more than the baby boy plastic bowflex. the flat sides are great when resting the weights on your thighs. that in itself is worth it over the bowflex.
the pro exp also has the open hand design where the bars don't get in the way. win win win.

Hope this current 10% code could be add on top of it. PBSQUAD10
I purchased a set of pro exp with that code last week in case there's a delay due to Black Friday and the code doesn't work with BF sales

Here's their 'newest' Pro model: https://powerblock.com/product/pr...xpandable/ (the support rods still threads through the urethane. Not sure if the metal weighted end plates covered in urethane are welded to the rods, but I wouldn't take a chance on the urethane sets. I got the Sports model 90 and they serve their purpose.
If you want to take a chance on the Urethane set, go ahead. Just putting it out there so people can do their research. I've read comments about users (this year/recently) having the same issues — but they did not specify if they were older or 'newer' urethane powerblocks.
