Agreed. Best ever deal and worst ever ads. Confusing both customers and their own employees.

Quote from V-Fi :
Having been with Xfinity Mobile since the very beginning, I have seen them run various promos that were poorly handled - conflicting information, lack of follow through on gift cards, and general confusion (particularly from the online chat agents). But this one is by far the most confusing.

I went ahead and did two trade-ins anyway, since I was going to do them in the next month or so regardless of the promo. I'll either get $900 worth of gift cards or settle for just the $20 total trade in value. Quite a difference.

I definitely would not have went for it if the gift card was a make-or-break factor. There's just no telling what might happen.

I have spoken to may be 5-6 reps and visited 2 stores.. they all give conflicting details ..

Can anyone confirm if this would work:

I go with this promotion and then get the new iphone 13 with a trade in of SE2. This promotion would end by 12/6 and so we have few more days to confirm and gain clarity and so can i keep the phone unopened and if this deal is not clear in few days, i return back the phone? What is the return policy for xfinity during the holidays? Do they accept opened phone?

My experience at B&M Xfinity store. I am an existing Xfiniity Mobile and Xfinity Internet/TV customer. I traded in a crappy IPhone 6s and got $5 for it. I added a new line and will get the $450 Visa gift card in 3 months. I bought IPhone 13 for $829.99. The "new line" was transferred to my son's old IPhone 8 which we will no longer be used and that devise will share data with my 1G $15 line. Because the IPhone 8 will not be used, it will not increase my monthly bill. The new IPhone 13 will be used by son on his $45/month unlimited plan that he previously used with his old IPhone 8. Because I have both an Xfinity Mobile account and Xfinity internet/cable account, I also had a $50 Xfinity Rewards credit. In short, I will be getting $505 in value ($450+$5+$50) that I can apply to the new $829.99 IPhone 13. ($829.99-$505=$324.99 for new IPhone 13).

Did you trade-in in store? My trade in is through Assurant. Also, did you get any proof regarding getting the $450 GC?

I just don't understand why there is no mention of the $450 prepaid card anywhere during the online check out process. There is also no mention of the $450 off in the phone section which only shows the $200 off (for new line/port in via 24 month bill credit)

For those of you did the ordering in store, did your paperwork mention anything about the $450 prepaid card offer?

I went to the Xfinity store in Citrus Heights, CA today and looked through the iPhones on display. Before I went to the store, I went through the trade-in value feature on the XM website and the iPhone 6s I have to trade in shows $5 value.

In the store, there were a few phones with the "$450" tags...one was on the iPhone 11 (price is $499). I took the attached photo and I think this is the significant part:
"$450 back promo ends 12/6/21 and is based on qualifying trade-in."

I talked to an XM rep and he said it's a very confusing promo. I asked for a list of "qualifying" phones for the $450 promo and he said he hasn't seen one.

Maybe there are new-ish phones that can be traded in for a max of $450? Seems more likely.

It would be too good to be true to get a $450 GC for this phone, right?

Definitely would like way to upgrade an existing line or add a new line and get an iPhone 11 or higher on the cheap!

I'm hoping the term "qualifying" in this case has to do with the fact that a phone has at least some trade in value. If the online value tool says they won't accept a phone, then it does not qualify, if that makes sense.

The 6S might be the oldest iPhone they will take, but hopefully it still gets the gift card.

I went to a store and upgraded 2 of my existing phones, Pixel 4 and iPhone 11 to Pixel 6 and iPhone 13. The weird thing is, no information was asked for the trade-in. I was told to simply take the old devices to the stores when the new phones arrive and would be eligible for two $450 gift cards. Nothing was also mentioned about the up to $150 trade-in values. However, I talked to customer support later and per them, my order at the store should have had the trade-in evaluation. It seems like no one at Xfinity has any clue how to handle this. I will most likely not open any of the two new phones and return them just to be safe.
In store they evaluated my trade in phones by checking IMEI and any physical damage during the process of adding a new line or upgrading. They certified these phone(Samsung s8 and iPhone 7) are eligible for trade in. Since they didn't had iPhone 13 pro max, they asked to ship once I receive my phone. They had iPhone SE in stock for which they accepted one of my trade in devices in store itself which they will be shipping.

Yes that's my understanding. I was discussing with store manager and he was saying they are trying to increase customer base due to which these promos are too good to be true.

Since you add new line, you should also be eligible $200 credit fir next 24 months unless you come out of contract early.

Yes trade in of crap phone was in store. No written proof of $450 GC, but I have done deals like this before with Xfinity and had no issues.

I hope you are correct, but the guy in the Xfinity store thought the extra $200 was just for new not existing customers.

I ordered a Pixel 6 Pro and am trading in my old S9. The Pixel is back ordered. The ETA for the new Pixel is 1/14/2022 and right after I ordered I got an email saying to send the trade-in (my S9) in within 21 days. Did this happen to anyone else? Here is what the trade-in email says:

"Your trade-in offer amount is valid until 12/18/2021, so make sure we receive the phone by that date. If we receive your phone after this date, your offer amount may be adjusted."
I called up Xfinity Mobile about my situation. Here are the options they gave me:

1) Don't send in your trade-in phone if you need it, you will not get the $450 because you didn't trade in a device.
2) Send in the trade-in phone, get another phone to use temporarily until new phone arrives.

Total crap customer service.

Even I'm existing customer and added new line & upgraded existing. Only difference is this $200 which you will not receive if you are upgrading existing line. It also means if you pay device early for upgraded line, you can get it unlocked as there is no 24 month contract.
