A friend bought these during the last ebay refurb deal, he was pretty excited until he opened it up. It had someone's ear gunk on one of the ear pieces. He packed it right back up and sent it back lol

I absolutely adore these earbuds and use these foam tips which work just as well as comply but are significantly cheaper

go medium if you have large ear canals, small if you have medium, because with these earbuds they go deep into your ear. (make sure the "inner hole" is 4.5mm)

Noise isolation + noise cancellation work wonderfully together.

Also, is the ringing Hardware or software related? If Hardware, that is important as ringing will not go away vs software fixes...

I chose the bose qc over this....sound is subjective but if you like more bass go for Sony ..... As for fit and comfort nothing beats bose ....sure they re on the bigger side but man i can listen to them for hours without any fatigue..... also bose has the better ANC.... But the bose case is huge and isnt easy to carry arnd in your pockets

I don't have these, but have the XM3. If they aren't loud enough, maybe it's because you need to use the app and increase the volume. My XM3 were default set to the lowest max volume, but if you boost it in the app, they get waaaay louder.
