Unfortunately there was memo sent out this afternoon to all bestbuy stores to validate the unlock state before processing the trade in, or it has to be with the 4 carrier on their trade-in website. This was implemented around 2:30pm PST today.

No. An iPhone can only be unlocked by Apple at the carrier's request and the carriers have consistently weeded out those employees who would offer that kind of service on ebay.

Probably the same kind of person who gets a DUI after just having "one beer". SIM lock status is not a criteria for BB trade in. They go into the settings screen during the trade in process and would see it right away when a phone is locked and reject it then.

I don't see this value. When I go to estimate trade in values, the most I get for this model is $430. Anyone know where this $630 trade in value is coming from?
