For iPhone 12 mini, trade-in value is $630 at Best Buy T-mobile iPhone 13 upgrade.
Unfortunately there was memo sent out this afternoon to all bestbuy stores to validate the unlock state before processing the trade in, or it has to be with the 4 carrier on their trade-in website. This was implemented around 2:30pm PST today.
Sucky unlock policy.

How much is your plan ? Why not pay $25 prepaid plan ?
Because the upgrade is only for postpaid plans.

Yeah it should. Not the same but I've used other TracFone based phones on TW and reverse.

Otherwise, it looks like this is the same but for TW. Not as many color options.

Thanks! I wasn't aware and ordered the Total Wireless and cancelled the Straight Talk! I REALLY appreciate your comment!

after reading all the comments, I'm still not understanding how u can trade in this phone at Best Buy when they only accept AT&T, TMobile, and Verizon phones, I recalled asking at the store before they said it must be from one of the following carriers, can someone please explain in details for me, I really want to get that deal. Thanks
I did the trade in deal when the 13 pro max first came out and I traded in a locked XR and Best Buy didn't care one bit. All they cared about was that it turned on and the screen was in good shape.

Can I just buy the phone and pop in my ATT nano SIM card and use it with ATT?
Please read some of the comments. I know it's hard. But you just read this one.

This is my experience with the iphone XR sold in Total Wireless for $220 a while ago. I used RSIM13 to unlock it with no problem. Updated from iOS 14.8 to 15.1, the Cricket SIM still works. The eSIM is always locked.

I have a Tracfone SIM in ATT network. When my Cricket plan is almost done, I did hard reset, the Cricket stopped working, but the tracfone SIM works. I want to register the phone in Tracfone so it can be unlocked after 12 months. I did a live chat to switch the SIM from ATT to the Verizon SIM that came with the phone from Total Wireless. This has to be done because the SIM is bond to the phone in their system. I believe if I unlock the phone again then use it in other network, Tracfone's clock will still tick because they can't tell what the phone is doing. May need to put the Tracfone SIM back one time a month to make a few calls tho.

In December 2019 I bought a Galaxy S7 "locked to TracFone". Before turning on the phone, I removed the TracFone SIM and inserted my Verizon postpaid SIM, and it worked fine on Verizon. So the original question, while worded poorly, is valid. The problem is that it's impossible to answer unless someone tries it.
Absolutely agree 💯 am interested in the same to see if it would work for Net10 which also offers all 3 networks as MVNO. But as you rightly pointed out, it's impossible to confirm until someone tries this. And usually, by the time someone confirms the deal would expire unfortunately 😕

Can I make this phone work with payplus?
Page plus? I would think so. I'd order the Total Wireless model just since they are both Verizon based TracFone MVNOs, but it probably doesn't matter.

This will 99% chance work with NET10 since it is a TracFone MVNO, along with Straight Talk and Total Wireless. I'd buy it and try it, if interested in NET10. Much lower chance of working with Verizon IMHO, but high chance with TracFone MVNOs
