- There are reports that your new T-Mobile phone from the Best Buy deal can be unlocked in less than a week (within 1 to 3 days); contact the T-Mobile support (T-Force) team on Twitter or Facebook and request unlock.
- Sometimes the unlock process can take longer as iPhones are not bought from T-Mobile directly and are not in their database. They have to submit an email request internally to Apple to get the IMEI unlocked. Once unlock confirmed, check under "Settings > General > About". "Carrier Lock" entry should show "No SIM restrictions".
- After the phone is unlocked, cancel the T-Mobile plan; ask them to pro-rate any current charges.

I remember doing a remote unlock service from Ebay back around the iPhone 5s days.
I had a virgin mobile locked phone.

Ultimate goal: I want to have an iPhone 13 and use it on Tello. Is this even possible by buying this 12 mini and trading it in for the 13 at Best Buy?
I ordered the prepaid Straight Talk iPhone 12 Mini from Walmart (took three tries because they kept canceling for "fraud" ugh).
- Do I place the order now for an iPhone 13 at Best Buy or do I have to wait until I have the 12 Mini in hand?
- At what point do I need to select a plan at Best Buy? (eg, when placing my order for the 13; when picking up the 13; some other moment in time)
- When I pick up the 13 and trade in the 12 can I leave it (the 12) in the original package? (If things don't work out I want to be able to just return the 12 to Walmart)
- I see that the 13 needs to be activated and active while I attempt to unlock through T-Force and may need to hold for up to 40 days. What would be the best plan to have the phone on while I wait it out? Or does "activation" not necessitate having a plan?

Just got off the phone with Tmobile CC.... the trade in value for iphone 12 mini is $800 , they dont care what network its on but just need the device to be in good condition....

They DO work. They guarantee it or you get refunded, and I have never in the last 3 years had a single issue.
