Fourteen (14) day return period begins 26 December 2021. Per Walmart's return policy [walmart.com]:

:
Must be returned within 14 days with a receipt to obtain a refund or exchange:Prepaid wireless cellular phones may be returned in undamaged condition to any store. |
REGARDING THIS PHONE:
|
A) Cannot be unlocked by third party services
B) Must be activated on Straight Talk for one year to get unlock from the carrier C) Can be "soft" unlocked using RSIM. Only unlocks the physical SIM slot, not the eSim. Soft unlock will last until/unless you reset the phone or take an update through iTunes. (No one in their right mind should be doing the latter at this point). RSIM will continue to work if you take an over-the-air update. |
- Trade-in value of $630.
- You need to currently be on T-Mobile; otherwise you'll need to sign up for a new plan which will have a hard credit pull. Cheapest plan is $65/month for people who aren't seniors, first responders, etc.
- Remove the phone from the box and keep the accessories as they only want the phone.
- They will be checking the screen condition and looking for cracks on the back.
- They will power on the device to see the display condition (you can charge the phone ahead of time).
- They will check the IMEI number and whether Find my iPhone was turned off under your Apple ID settings
- No need to mention which provider and lock status.
- Remember you need to go to Mobile section at Best Buy and not the Pick Up counter.
- There are reports that your new T-Mobile phone from the Best Buy deal can be unlocked in less than a week (within 1 to 3 days); contact the T-Mobile support (T-Force) team on Twitter or Facebook and request unlock.
- Sometimes the unlock process can take longer as iPhones are not bought from T-Mobile directly and are not in their database. They have to submit an email request internally to Apple to get the IMEI unlocked. Once unlock confirmed, check under "Settings > General > About". "Carrier Lock" entry should show "No SIM restrictions".
- After the phone is unlocked, cancel the T-Mobile plan; ask them to pro-rate any current charges.

thanks!
- Signup at Costco for Tmobile BYOD ( 2 lines ) . Not sure if there is $300 offer .
- Head out to BB next day and upgrade these to Iphone 13 and get $630 for the trade in
Q1 . Should we have the IMEI number of 12 mini while signing up for BYOD at Costco ?
Q2. Once upgraded to 13 at BB , how soon can we cancel the lines ?
Is my math correct ?
$299 * 2 = $598
BYOD 1 month ( ??? ) monthly charges = $120 = $120
Balance on iPhone 13 pro max = ~$480 * 2.= 960
total for two phones = 598 + 120 +960 = $1678 ( doesn't include $ 2xx in cash back and other savings )
You can charge up the phone if you want. And just get it to to the Home Screen. All they will be checking is the imei number and condition of the phone.
That's pretty much it.
As for the carrier, I think you could say it uses Verizon towers. Not quite sure. But officially it's not to supposed to make a difference anyway. The rep needs to figure it out
Cost $299+tax + an extra $169.99 + tax = roughly $500.00 for the 13 on T-mobile which is easy to have them unlock within a week.

14 days after Dec 26th, 2021? So it is 14 days or before January 10th?
