Create a new Apple ID, redeem it there, add them to your Apple Family Sharing (you'll have access to it since you're family). When you can't add any to that account, then delete it.

You can cancel it immediately after you get the subscription started. It will keep the same end date (6 months in future) but will say expires at that date instead of renews on that date. This way you can do it all today and not worry about getting billed in the future

Is there a trick to get the trial multiple times? I know for sure I was able to get two or three trials before but those finally ran out, and now it keeps denying me when I try to redeem the codes

Yes... would need to manually schedule for it around the expiration date. I don't see an option for canceling auto-renewal at this time.

Apple is giving these trial services away with everything these days. I have the six months News one and was about to try it out, but then I got turned off after reading the reviews of the app in the Apple App Store. Sounded frustrating even for free. Lol
