If you have gmail and your account hasn't been inactive for 30 days, use the +1 trick. So if your account is [email protected], create a new Hulu account at [email protected]. It's the same account on your end but Hulu will see it as a different email address.

Good deal. Just want to take the time to say that the number of commercials that you have to sit through on their regularly priced ad supported plan os nuts. I could see 1 1:30 minute break during an episode, but there are like 4 during a 40 minute episode.

Just make another account with a different email. I go back and forth each year.

Hmm, so not sure if this is the ad-supported version or the "no ads" version which still has ads and Hulu claims they can't figure out how to identify to the user the content which has ads on the "no ads" plan.

I wonder how many subs hulu would have without these promo deals? I sure wouldn't pay more than a dollar or two to watch 6 minutes of ads on a 40 minute show.

I'd also bet that the # of peacock subs would drop to nearly zero if they took out the freebie deal for comcast and some wireless customers.
Eventually, there will be 3 of them left, maybe 4. Best guess is Netflix, Disney, and the rest of them after a round of mergers and acquisitions/licensing deals. A couple of commercials at the beginning for the rich and tons of commercials throughout for the rest.

Thank you so much for posting this OP Smilie ... worked for me as a former subscriber though I admit I was without hulu for nearly a year .. that's an insanely great deal I thought $1.99/month was a great price Smilie

What others have said about 30 minute long shows having a lot of ad breaks is true but honestly at this price can you really complain? Smilie

Also I did not have to change my credit card per se to make this work but I did go for the paypal option (realized my credit card info is stored on there which is not good security wise... I will try removing it a week from now after hulu's computers have processed this completely and hope it does not mess up my hulu subscription)

For everybody that's complaining about the ads... y'all must have never have had cable TV.

Ad breaks on Hulu are 90 seconds at most.

Ad breaks on cable feel like 7 minutes.

I think so many use DVRs nowadays that any commercials at all are painful.

But I generally agree. Recently I started watching sports on TV and the commercial breaks are utterly insane. I ended up giving up...

Hulu commercials are painful but for a $1 a month I can live with them.

Might have been mentioned, but dont forget to get your free 6 months of uber eats pass after you sign up for hulu. If you haven't redeemed that offer already.

Agreed. However I think you need to use a different credit card as well as different email account. System knows if the card already exists from what I remember with last Black Friday switch.
Yep, my attempt with different email just got blocked as existing subscriber.

Last year I just created a second subscription to take advantage of the $1.99/12month offer. Then put it on hold until my 0.99/12month offer expired. Note - putting a sub on hold doesn't extend your offer, but it helps not paying twice for the same month.
Yes, it's a hassle to change all the sign ins, but you are doing it only once a year.
So how does that work? The promo pricing still expires after 12 calendar months, you just avoid paying twice for the time on hold?

If you have a HULU account already and dont want the ads you can get it for $2.99 a month. When you go to cancel service, they will ask you why? Say its too expensive and they will offer you half the price to stay put. Not as good but $2.99 is an alternative if you didnt have the ads and dont want them.

I do not understand how people say use Discover card for billing and get minimum balance less than $2. Do folks not use Discover for 5% cashback? We have several cards in household and try to maximize 5% cashback, it would be penny wise but pound foolish not to do so in order to get $1 monthly credit on this deal.
On Hulu itself, I had ad free version before but cancelled as did not find much to watch on it but wife had 1 or 2 shows. Not enough to justify $12 a month when we have a lot of quality content from Netflix and HBO Max ad free.

Does anyone know if this deal will last until the 29th or will it end earlier while promotion last. I already have 1 yr from last year and my subscription don't end until the 28th. Waiting for my current plan to end before i open another one using this deal.
I was in the same boat till I read that Hulu considers 'returning' customers only accounts that have been inactive for at least a month. So even if you wait till your current subscription expires, your current account won't be eligible. So best not to wait and just create a new account.
