It's a fun game to play with kids, and I hope they come out with a new version; the speed golf is a novel twist on golf.
(I got this for free out of my library and beat the single player, probably not going to bite at this.)

While the game isn't the hole in one I was looking for, I've put about 50 hours into it and have had a lot of fun. Today's DLC was "the last free update", so I'm not sure if they are done updating the game or if future updates will be paid and/or part of the Expansion Pass. Birdo being involved in the story mode and not being playable has me leaning towards the latter.
The biggest gripe most have is there is no accuracy check on swings. In past games the first button press starts the swing, the second sets the power, and the third sets impact/accuracy. They removed the third press and went to a randomizer. The more aggressive your shot, the more chance of a bad shot. This in part was done to speed up gameplay with the new speed rush mode. I can honestly say there have only been a few times where it burned me, and frankly I've gotten hole in ones at a much faster rate on this game than any previous game. Speed Rush is fun to play with friends locally, but not so much online unless you get a good group.
The updates have been great, and they addressed a lot of the issues that were present early in the release of the game. Can't wait to try the new update, and I'm hoping there will be more content in the future.
