bought a 50" element a few years ago.... died 6 month later.. warranty was a nightmare ... countless emails and calls they finally send me a return authorization.... which i had to pay to send back (warranty doesn't cover shipping)....

so after spending ~$100 sending it back, they never send the TV back and they no longer take my calls or stating they didn't receive it or it was not covered whatever... since it was over 3 month, i couldn't get it back from credit card...

i'd recommand against buying it
Lies. No one recommends IPS televisions over VA.

Look at every high end LED TV and see what kind of panel it has.
Dude... really !!
You should inform yourself before you post useless comments.....
IPS ("In-Plane Switching") are best for gaming and have better viewing angles.

VA (Vertical Alignment) have better color accuracy and contrast ratio but narrow viewing angles.

Don't think twice about that. Element is absolute trash.

This is the TV you get when you only care about size. Element TVs are not something to show off. It doesn't even have Dolby Vision. For those who don't know the difference between HDR10 and Dolby Vision: HDR10 produces over 1 billion colors. Dolby Vision produces over 68 billion.

Really depends on what kind of content you watch. For watching/streaming movies/tv shows VA is generally preferred because you will generally get better contrast. If you watch a lot of sports, IPS might be better due to better viewing angles. Then of course there's mini-LED and OLED which have it all.

IPS > VA.
IPS are far superior screen color quality. The viewing angle from are good from any angel.
VA only look good if you're viewing from straight ahead, colors could be more muddy.

Hahaha. No way. VA is significantly better than IPS. VA also looks perfectly fine from pretty much any angle. It's hilarious when people try to use the viewing angle argument. What kind of crazy angels are you watching your TV from? IPS has god-awful black levels and contrast, which is incredibly important. As far as colors go, they're almost identical. You're just regurgitating what you've read from other people who don't know any better.

IMO the Vizio will be way better. It supports HDMI 2.1 with Variable Refresh Rate. Great for Xbox and such. This seems like a bargain basement POS. I also picked up the RCA 70 inch 500$ from Target last week and it was so bad, colors were awful and it was so washed out in HDR mode. Claimed to do 120Hz but was just inserting black frames.

just picked this up, it barely fit into my rx350, had to move the front seats up quite a bit to get the back hatch to close. I don't see this fitting in a sedan. So far picture and audio seems great for this price. The target curbside option was great too because they brought it to my car on a cart and helped me get it in the car.

I signed up for a redcard to get the 5% discount and it came out to $568.98 total including tax and fees

It's cool, do you recommend good sources like I responded to another user?, Few of you guys stated the same thing. I'd like to learn what you guys have.
My personal collection of IPS monitors and one of my TV's look preferably better over my VA monitors and TV's. Even if you guys say VA is better. I'm not here to argue, I'm here to learn grow and read new sources from wherever you guys learn that VA are superior over IPS. 👍

How many people can even tell the difference between a 1,000 different colors? Secondly, those that paid $4,000 a few years ago must be terribly embarrassed right now according to you. Bottom line, they'll have some do little $500 "improvement" every year that will mean very little to most people in the real world. If you have to put TV's side by side to see a real difference, you're really just paying a lot more for very little....... and if you don't, you're probably just a fool. Of course, if you have to much money, by all means but most people here aren't here because they're rich. Most are here because they're looking for a lot of real estate instead of subtle differences. Extended warranties are pretty much taken by all who need that "piece of mind", no matter the brand.... So in the real world any tv brand is suitable for most..... I remember 30 years ago paying more, using rabbit ears and still looking at static..... So anything is far superior to anything even 10 years ago and at a fraction of the price.

Good buy. These come with a 2 yr warranty and depending on which credit card you have Some give you an additional 1 yr to 2 yr warranty and items like this tv
My CC gives me an additional year so for 550 and a 3 yr warranty not a bad deal.
If it goes bad after two years CC usually just cut you a check so 2 yrs from now
If it goes bad I'll get a check and buy myself a 100" when those go down to $550 lol 😂

Which credit card? I have several but haven't really read up on which one is best for purchases like this one.

Have a question, I can't find it on the target site, what are the inputs? I'm looking for a tv that has all the new inputs like hdmi arc but still have a composite input (for my ps2). It's getting harder to find a good deal for a bigger tv that has both

No composite. Has ARC

Well, from my own experience, I went from an LG ultrawide IPS monitor to a Monoprice ultrawide VA monitor and the color quality, vibrancy, and contrast are all significantly better. I don't see the benefit of IPS angles being as helpful vs the Monoprice, since it's curved. As for TVs, many of us prefer low light viewing and that's where the contrast will show more.

A decent place to see a comparison of the 2 is rtings https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/i...-vs-va-lcd, but there are loads of other articles I'm sure. However, it also matters on the quality of the panel itself and the backlighting. A full array local dimming set of either type is a big plus and will easily help move one panel above the others with edge or direct backlighting.

For me, a VA panel with full array local dimming is the way to go, even above OLED. But that's because I am a gamer, and don't want to risk burn in (though a few Mortal Kombat health bars would make some movies hilarious). I just picked up a Hisense U7G and it's been a huge upgrade from my old Samsung 6000 series.
