A couple of advantages:

1. Upgradeable RAM
2. Full Dell thunderbolt functionality.

I've learned in 2021 that no laptop/notebook is good enough here on SD and I will be stuck with my 10 year old 8/640GB Dell that's bogged down into oblivion.

But without Thunderbolt on the one. The other less cpu, less hard drive…
I believe it has thunderbolt

The less CPU is true but completely negligible, they're both in the 11300H series, the 11390H is simply a barely overclocked 11300H.. and the Lenovo can outperform it easily if it's able to sustain higher wattage with a superior thermal system, either one is negligible, the difference is much smaller then even the quad core 1135g7 vs quad core 1165g7

Storage matters WAY less then points I mentioned, especially the shite 8GB ram which needs a immediate upgrade, display can't even be replaced

I agree that the Lenovo is a better deal. It does come with the Thunderbolt 4 ports, btw.

I do not agree, however, with your needless repetition of essentially the same message.

Since you think this deal sucks at this price, would you bite if it were $450?

Check your Amex card for promotions. If you don't have one you will not be able to get it. The AMEX is good to have for offers like this.

He's not wrong

Lenovo literally has superior offerings with 16GB ram for same price and superior display

Why would you buy this Dell 16:9 14" 8GB ram, just clueless
Because it has the processor and price that makes it happen. The parts I want to upgrade I already have. I have them as spares - or, as leftover pieces when I upgrade other laptops.

I have two 16:10 laptops, one lenovo and one Dell. They are part of 4 laptops all new within the last year, HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Asus. I have AMD 5700, pro 5850, Intel 11th gen i3,i5.

So unfortunately, for whatever drives you, Lenovo has to try even harder to be the "always" Laptop choice

Good, this laptop is junk, bad low end display and 8GB ram

There's literally a Lenovo 14" w/ 16GB ram and a vastly superior display for the same price, Jesus Christ! On Slickdeals..
LOL

Just keep cutting and pasting this for every post then like you just did!

I'd describe the 11390 as significantly overclocekd which you will feel in single core.

The plus part is at that point you will find that almost anything is significantly better in most aspects.

There's a few main camps. Ones who feel everyone needs to buy a gaming laptop for whatever they do.The AMD only cpu camp, the Lenovo camp, and the m1 mac acolytes. Each of them ignore their own particular issues.

Depends which Lenova deal your talking about.. The more expensive one does. The one that's more cheaper like this deal does not…. It all matters to what a person wants. Hard drive space iOS very important to me. But hey if you can live with an 8Gb 90's hard drive size, go for it (referring to other poster) LOL
