Are you saying that I cannot merge the new line with existing group? Cannot understand why they will not let me.
Based on the offer details, it makes it seem like you could go to the group once you complete one month of $60 service. The other $120 seem like they are just credited to you account and might be useable as credit?
$49.99 iPhone XR Offer
Ends 12/2/21. Requires new line & new account. Excludes upgrades & AT&T ports. Pay first three months of $60/mo. plan service ($180 total) at point of sale, plus device taxes. $60 will be applied to first month service charge. Remaining $120 will be credited to your account and applied to second and third month service unless used on other eligible service or features. Account will remain subscribed to $60/mo. plan for three months. Credit will be lost if service is canceled. Credit is not redeemable for cash, has no cash value & is not transferable or refundable. Add'l one-time fees may apply.
They changed it. You can no longer downgrade plan immediately.
Good to know. Although, when I made my purchase, the same wording appeared: "Account will remain subscribed to $60/mo. plan for three months." But I checked with chat and they said you can downgrade and I was able to do so.

The XR is a rock solid phone with a excellent camera too. With the total cost out the door, the Pixel 3 XL becomes the better deal since completely unlocked for all carriers for less money.
Talked to instore dude, He told me after you pay for 3 months. just wait till before your bill is due and change it then with support. As well use the $150 ish credit for the phone bill. on the bright side free hbo max and sams club lmao.
How will it work after 1 month of it doesn't work on the first day? All the dude is trying is to get you to activate so that you are stuck and can't return.
Too bad the downgrade/merge/cancel`doesn't work with these cricket promos anymore with the new terms. Was able to do this twice in recent months and keep the credit on an existing account, but apparently they cracked down on it recently. Would be great to get this for $80 and use the credit for my existing line.
Not a big deal at all. I buy cheap phones on sale so I can plan ahead.
I have S9 from cricket I bought for $199 when it was going for $500 or more. Used it on Cricket and unlocked it after 6 months.
Now S9 is getting dated, bought iPhone XR on Total Wireless and have been using it as a back up phone for 4 months. It will be unlocked in 8 months and I can swap S9 to that phone.
Now buying iPhone 12 mini to use locked for 12 months and then have another cheap back up phone to use as needed.
By planning ahead, I either get the lowest price, or get 1 year free service (compared to buying at regular price from Apple).
No need to be trapped. It's a bonus to have multiple phones. There have been times when I get home and my regular phone is down to 10% battery. I throw it on the charger and head out with the back up iPhone XR with 100% battery. No need to carry portable battery banks, cables / wires. Freedom to have 2 phones to swap back and forth easily is huge.
I use Google Voice so I don't miss any texts / calls either.
I feel sorry for people who are so narrow thinking and only have 1 phone to use and constantly having to charge it or carry a battery bank around.
XR with iOS 15 is pretty slow and almost unusable on certain occasions, consider XR's trade in value is only $200, it is not a good deal comparing with last year's $109 iPhone SE 2020, which has a much faster processor
Wow this has become Apples business model huh! Constantly slow down the phones artificially and block them for downloading most apps. So frustrating. I can't believe people put up with that. Beautiful hardware with reasonably fast CPU is paperweight because of artificial software slowdown code inserted in updates (or artificial battery drain software code).

I have iPhone XR on iOS 15 and it's been fine. I think some apps might be causing issues for some people which is always the case with iOS and app udpates.
The nice thing about XR is solid battery life. Screen is lower res so battery / CPU doesn't have to work that hard on display.
Buying iPhone 12 mini for better night camera mode to use as main phone next year after unlock.

The xr was their worst phone ever made. It's from 2018. The se 2 has a faster processor yet due to the larger lcd screen its more expensive - get a used 11 or a new se 2 over this
I had a 256gb iPhone SE 2...tiny battery in phone was a major deal breaker. It would lose 20-30% battery over night, doing nothing...brand new iPhone SE 2.
The tiny battery just can't support the powerful CPU. I sold it and got the iPhone XR which is far better on battery life and just as fast.
Very nice...I know someone in need right now. Will go good with Kroger discount on Cricket payment discount cards.
Gaaaahhh, my two most hated merchants.
I tried ordering iPhone 11 on promotion from Cricket 3 times a few months ago. Was loyal Cricket user for years. All my iPhone 11 Cricket orders were canceled, my ports were canceled. I HATE Cricket's ecommerce site now...just the worst.
Same with Kroger. Tried to buy Cricket / ATT cards on Kroger, multiple orders got canceled, despite different credit cards.
I will NEVER waste time with Kroger or Cricket again. The worst businesses. I have zero issues buying from any other e-commerce site.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a ass. But Cricket is a Verizon sub side. They require 6 months of use. WHICH IS MUCH BETTER THAN A YEAR. IMO, and your only paying for the service. So, you can do whatever with a Iphone SE/XR
Cricket is not a Verizon sub...get your facts straight if you're going to try to promote Cricket (their e-commerce site blows).
I'd much rather pay Total Wireless for 1 year of reliable service than have no orders completed with Cricket. So glad I ditched Cricket and switched to AT&T (and Total Wireless as backup).

You have it totally backwards.
