Just FYI, just had verde toe accept my offer for $2600 for 77C1. Had tried for $2400, they countered at 2749 then 24 hrs later saw accepted at 2600. Equivalent of ~2370+tax for me in NY. Pretty happy with deal. Waiting for them to let me know who the retailer is but offer was accepted.

It's been said before, but the CPS Warranty is kind of a joke and not very legit. Seems that no one has been able to successfully redeem a warranty claim

Amazon reviews are certainly pretty bad... Hmm, I was thinking of going through buydig instead of Costco (for the Sony) because the warranty is supposed to cover accidental damage but now I'm not so sure I should.

I've heard that it has to do with how they produce the panels. The 83" isn't an optimized yield for producing multiple panels from so it costs a fortune. Which is unfortunate as I would like to get in on a 83" but the value to size ratio isn't there.

So as a result they are less likely to discount the higher size. Plus it's kind of their flag ship size so they keep it unreachably high.
