Question: Should I buy this? Answer: Buy this if your kids love Pokemon and you have not bought any Celebration cards for Christmas. If you notice, Pokemon Celebrations sell out almost right away, for most of their products. This kit includes: 10 Pokémon -Celebrations 4-card booster packs, so it will give your kid at least a few of the Celebration cards, to make them happy!
Question: Is this good for scalping? Answer: No. There have been too many printings of the Celebration set, for this to go up, in the near term. Unless there are millions of new kids that want to enjoy Pokemon, this set will be available for a long time, for a decent price. Yes, it sells out right away, but I think those that really want this, have had a chance to purchase one.
Question: Is there a better Celebrations kit to purchase? Answer: There are other Celebration Kits, but they sell out fast. They have different products in them, so unless you really want to hunt (spend a lot of time looking ) or want something specific, buy this and ask questions later. Of course you can go on several other sites and pay a premium for the kit you want , then it is NOT a slickdeal :-)
Question: What about the Ultra Premium Collection? Answer: That had a very limited printing and probably won't be printed again ( that is the thinking of most people ). It is almost impossible to get at a decent price, but you can get it for about $250 from ... e b a y
Question: Is there some better Pokemon cards that might be better to get for my kids? Answer: That depends on if you want the Celebrations set or a different set. If you want the Celebrations set, they sell out pretty fast, so you have to be checking everything frequently, so the recommendation is to purchase anything Celebrations ( at the regular retail price), if you ( or your kids ) want the Celebrations set, by Christmas. There are several other sets that have come out that are available online or thru your local game store, but those are not the Celebrations set. Usually, you will be paying a small premium for Celebrations, if you really want it, unless you are quick on the purchase, or get lucky.
Question: Is this really for fun or about collecting? Answer: This is more about fun. If you are really want to collect or get the exact card you want, it is much better to just go out and purchase a couple of the cards you want. It is rare for you to pull the exact cards you (or your kids ) want to collect from a box that you purchase. It would be much better to just purchase the exact card you want. (I think those that are asking this question, probably know this answer already, but for a few of you newbies, I am trying to provide the best advice )

Yes there is. These will go up like the previous anniversary sets.
For the opener it is pretty clear that these etb's are not the way to go though. Your ratios of "rare cards" are better with the tins or other boxes.
If you love pokemon yes, but if you're planning on selling a sealed box for a small fortune in the future, you might want to pass. It seems like 1yr+ of scalpers pushed production volume higher to give regular players/collectors a chance. I feel like there will be a ton of these in the future. Hopefully values drop and more people open them and the is corrects the market to normal value for a sealed box.🤷

I have to disagree. Ive opened 5 etbs and just about all the other boxes, no upc or fat pika.
All my hits have been out of etb.

You think if I buy 10 boxes, it would triple in value after 5 years?
You might as well buy shiba coins
