Just got an email from Microsoft inviting me to buy the XBox X available in limited quantities on Microsoft Online Store.
You have to bundle a game and a controller and it all came out to $720.
I was able to buy one for the delivery date of 12/22

Check for any emails from Microsoft Store (possibly the junk/spam folder if you have been deleting them)
==Addendum==
- How do you get the above email in the first place?
No definitive answer. I believe I got the email because I made a purchase in the past from the Microsoft Store (and somehow opted in to receving their promotional emails).

The refund on the crappy games work. I just did it when I ordered the bundle. The link they sent me never worked. The link they sent my wife worked.

contacted MS on twitter and got no reseponse, chat support didn't know what i was talking about.
Sure you pay $13 for the membership (trial members arent included) but if you're there at the time specified you'll get the console without all the troubles of general public drops.
Thats how i grabbed another one for my son the other day and it was very simple.
I wonder if we can self-fix our own nonworking link, if we only knew what was wrong with our original link coz none of the MS ppl I've talked to were helpful.
- try another email client on a different platform (maybe even a web client on a desktop)
- instead of clicking on the link, try copying the url behind the link and paste it in a browser.

Other tips:
- Use NIST time clock and refresh at x:59:59. If I've done it at 00:00, I usually don't make it through the queue.
- If you can do it on desktop, I would. I saw other people have success with mobile, but I didn't whether on the iOS app or mobile Safari.
- Don't use Chase if possible. I've seen a lot of people have fraud holds and lose their console. Chase blocks my transactions more than any other bank/card. Amex and Discover are the best for me. Use another credit card or PayPal. Once it's in your cart, WM is actually good about holding the stock for you for several minutes. They do waves, at least on PS5.
- When they give you the option to "continue shopping and hold my place," I would do that ~1-2 min. I can't say I've compared side-by-side, but I've been in chats with people not doing it and their time doesn't update but mine does.
- If at all possible, be on a fiber or low latency connection. I have no proof of this either, but I'm on 300/300 fiber and I've started at higher minutes than others and wound up getting one when they didn't. Only difference seemed to be connection (or that they were on mobile and I was on desktop).
