Extra green cutting mats, extra fine point blade, maybe the scoring pen. All the other accessories don't need to be cricut. You can get generic metal picks at harbor freight cheaper. If this is someone's first cricut then a few rolls of vinyl, iron on and pack of cardstock.

Buy your stuff from Amazon and your mats will be $2-3 each instead of $16 each and the ones i got unbranded were higher quality than cricut but identical. Same with vinyl, weeding tools etc.

Love the idea of this stuff, but probably can't justify the cost... And it seems like costs are never ending, since you will need various supplies. Also wasn't thrilled with the reviews I saw for the cricut easy press(?) 2. Just don't have enough time to research this properly and make an informed decision

buying from cricut.com is BIG HARASSMENT to me. I placed 3 orders and wanted to cancel 2. Today is the 4rth day and after talking to 4 people and one supervisor, they were so far unable to cancel the orders. I dont know if that is deliberate.
I got email that the order was shipped.
I WILL AVOID CRICUT WEBSIDE. I would Buy from other places like Amazon etc. byt again their customer service is pathetic although i liked the idea for my daughter.

I got another email today morning that the order is packaged and shipped.
What a joke. I called them on the phone and cancelled my orders within 5-10 minutes of creating them. They agree to cancel but still their process ships the items. Ridiculous stress. Unwanted stress for the last 4 days. Not worth it.
