Hey,

So quick tip that I was recently turned on to, I noticed the browness of my 8 year old vitamix container and dropped a dozen denture tablets in it, let it sit for 10 minutes, and finally went at it with a toothbrush. And voila it was clear and not discolored anymore. Just sayin'
If you are grinding something hard like grain then it's going to ruin the plastic container.
Love this container. Looks great. Only complaint is seeing if the ingredients are blending correctly. Mine is under a cabinet and difficult to see into the lid.

See some complaints about the measurement markings on the inside wearing off after using it. That's a bummer. I guess there's no perfect container.

I've had my plastic container for 3 years. I'm horrible about cleaning it right away. It has zero stains.
I'll add to that, my Vitamix is over a decade old, I just throw a couple drops of Dawn in it and run it for a bit after each use to clean it and it's still the same color as when I bought it.

I'll buy a blender with the container for $20
Yeah a cheap plastic bender that'll you'll be replacing in a few months.
Granted this is expensive for stainless steel for this price I would expect for it to be aluminum.

I don't understand why anyone would want this? Does it do anything that the plastic containers don't?
If you blend hot food. To make soups for example. Stainless is much better than plastic in that case. Also, have you ever tried to blend garlic in a plastic container? Plastic leaves odours and stains.

Except they put the wet blade in this instead of the one for the dry container 🤦 ♀️

I hear a lot of talk about harmful plastics leeching through food containers. Especially ones that are heated. I bet this is for people who are concerned about that.

Plastics break down over time and leach into food. There is evidence that plastics cause reproductive health issues such as not only lowering sperm count, but studies have also found that plastics found in adults (which they tested against a control group by testing plastics in urine samples) had a statistically significant correlation with a reduction in the size of the male reproductive organs of the offspring.

Dishwasher?? you're defeating the convenience of the vitamix.

You just fill with some water, a drop of dawn and wash cycle for 30 seconds.

Applause Yep. And hormone disrupting (estrogen imitating) chemicals mess up women too. Women are having prolonged menopause symptoms, i.e. hot flashes for 20-30 years. That didn't used to happen. Anyway, google male fertility crisis, to see the extent that over use of plastics is having on us humans. It's good for business, if you sell ED pills, or if you make obsene anounts of money from couples desperate to have children.
Most Vitamix users are very health conscious, I assume. The plastic container has bothered me from the start. However, the stainless version seems to have painted the measurement markings on the inside, which is stupid 'cause they'll wear off. That's what I glean from the posts here, so I'll pass for now and continue eating microplastics rather than eating paint. laugh out loud
