Saw this in the Costco flyer and I've been waiting for this to go live. Today is the day. Seems like a good deal to me. $35 off.

Physics and stuff, so a certain wattage only provides a fixed maximum amount of heat. They won't heat a large space well if it is losing a lot of heat.

Don't expect magic, just better than most of these types of heaters. What these are good at are:
- Most of the models run quietly, so if you want something for a bedroom etc.
- The fan design does a good job of circulating the heat around a room (up to about 12 x 12 or maybe a little bigger), though probably not as good as the noisy ones that spin back and forth.
- Some models have more than one heat output level, which can be useful.
- 5 year warranty. Their warranty service is good. I had one where the thermostat wasn't working properly, they sent a replacement.

Also, if you like the idea of having a remote, that seems rare at this price point.

Amazon reviews for similar/same? heater. I never noticed much smell on the 3-4 I've owned. But for that, and the failures, for sure plan on running it a few hours out of the box to make sure it's working as intended.

It is 49.99 in store
I have two units and yes one is for the bathroom. They all are 1500 watts max so nothing magical with this Vornado except it is quiet and if similar to my two, will auto shut off when tipped over.

I bought the Vornado VH200 Vortex Heater three years ago for $65 and it has been one of the best purchases I ever made. It is similar to this one but has three heat settings, 1500W, 1125W & 750W but no digital read out, and no remote.

I am using it in a 14 x 14 foot room with attached bathroom and walk-in closet and it really circulates the air to heat the entire room, and not just a small space, and does so quietly. The house can be 67 degrees and this room is 80 degrees and that's not even with the thermostat set to maximum.

It has great safety features like cool to the touch which is great if you have pets, will shut off if tipped over, and detects if it overheats, for example if something were to block the front it will shut off.

Mine came with a 5 year warranty which covers shipping BOTH ways if you need warranty service . Who does that anymore?

One tip, some people say it works one or two seasons and then not the next. This year when I turned it on the red LED came on but there was no heat and the fan wasn't spinning. It was simply the thermostat setting, which will automatically turn the heater on and off to maintain set temperature, was turned too low. Once I rotated that it turned on and worked normally.

I don't have Costco membership because there are none close to where I live but if I did I would seriously consider picking this up to have if my VH200 eventually dies.

Amazon has the Vornado TAVH10 which appears to be the same as this for $127.78 and one with a digital read out but no remote for $100 so this is a great deal. Note, some reviewers complain about the LCD display casting a bright blue light that lights up the room so consider that if that would bother you when sleeping.

You can purchase without membership for $59.50

I was debating if it's worth spending the extra money for this heater with all the features. It is on sale but you can also get a heater unit for $30.

However, I could use the timer feature as I would have it run for 1-2 hours and stop. The heater isn't something I want to be running and forget about. Also the wattage of heat for this Vornado with the fan is better than the normal heater brand. The remote is really unnecessary for me but it's a nice touch for those in bed that do not want to get up.
In my opinion it is definitely worth spending the extra money even without the extra features. If you saw my other post here, I paid $65 three years ago for basically the same model without the extra features. That model still sells for between $65 and $70 today.

Other heaters I had required you to sit in front of them to get warm, and then that was only the part of you facing the heater. These will heat an entire room and do it quietly. Plus the safety features this has is great.

The one I have now doesn't have the remote control but there were times I was in bed and I wished I had a remote control as it was either too warm or cold for me. Sometimes I feel hot at 73 degrees and other times I feel cold at 78 degrees.

Also, unless it changed these have a 5 year warranty and the company pays shipping BOTH ways if you have to send it back for warranty service. One person said the company just needed to see a picture of the power cord cut off and they sent them a replacement.

I've a mid 1990s heatstream 1000 (1320w) I'd like to replace, anyone know whether these are more efficient? Are they like normal vornado where they move air over a distance, or meant just to heat in front of it?

Since in-store price is $5 less, can we price adjust after the delivery? Or I have to return the online one and buy in store if I can find one later?

That's a lot of work for $5

I support Vornado. I had a humidifier under warranty but it stopped working one day. I asked Vornado support about it and they sent me a brand new unit. They design the device in US so I also support that.

What's wrong with Costco? You can still order it online for delivery without being a member. You just have to pay an extra 5%.
Good to know on the 5%. Nothing wrong with Costco. I had a membership for a year. I used it to buy a new car battery and the membership worked out to still saving me a little bit of money. I just never used it again for the year besides 2-3 times buying gas. I should have got a refund on the membership but then COVID happened and I just didn't want to risk it.

I have many of the generic 1500 small room heaters and none of them can really heat anything larger than a small bathroom adequately. Does anyone know if this brand does anything more magical or is more effective than others? I guess the good news is that Costco will always do an easy return. Looking for experience of others.
i have a similar vornado and it worked great in my bedroom. idk exact dimensions but the whole apartment was ~600 sq ft. i would have it on for an hour before sleep and that was good enough to keep me warm through the night. i didn't want to risk leaving it on while i slept

Yeah, I'm weighing whether to get the Vornado or just get this Lasko that's ~$40

Mine makes a loud clicking sound while it's heating the room. Is that normal?
