Hm... this vs the Asus G713 vs the GE76?

I hate how so many of these BF laptops seem to use unique specs so it's hard to find good reviews on them.

I think the 11800h and 5800h are both very capable for games, one being better than the other is probably marginal or varies from game to game.

The GE76 does have the full 130 watt 3060 whereas this one only has the 85 watt 3060 so that's a HUGE disadvantage. GE76 also gets a 1TB SSD vs 512GB SSD here. The big question is the screen on both- there's very little detail on either screen outside of them being 1080p/144hz.

Power levels matter. You could be overpaying depending on what they set the gpu tdp at. Edit: For example, because Nvidia thought it was smart to allow manufacturers to play with tdp on all the 3000 series gpu you can't always assume a 3070 is way better than a 3060. The 3060 could be running at 130w while that 3070 only 80w. Yet price difference between the 2 could be several hundred dollars.

It has been upgraded with their latest bios update. 3060 is now 90Wv+5W with dynamic boost and 3070 is now 95W + 5W.
Hi, is that something that updates automatically or would I need to go somewhere? Thanks!

Acer is garbage, recently bought a 11th gen i7 with a 3060. Power relay failed after 2 months and they drug their feet for another 2 months and ultimately I had to get the BBB involved to force a repair/refund. Ended up receiving a "prorated" refund and they stiffed me on the extended warranty purchase through them. I wouldn't touch Acer with a 10 foot pole. Ultimately caved and bought a MacBook.

TLDR: They have serious supply chain issues with parts. If it breaks you're on your own.

Nowadays everything is cheap plastic but macbooks. Their chassiss is still made out of metal.

RTX3060 is the best rated PC gaming card
ROFL? Why speak about something you clearly have 0 knowledge of...

The best card is a 3090 for a desktop and a 3080 for a laptop. If you're talking about best for price in a laptop, that would easily be a 3070 max-p.

To run the highest powered laptops available, 8 hours a day, while running the GPU and CPU BOTH at 100 percent, would cost you around 5 dollars a month.

In all reality, if you got let's say a 3070 max-p and used it every day and gamed every day, you're looking at about 2 dollars a month, if that.

Good deal for a gaming laptop. GPU in a system like this is hard to find at this price point.

Would this be overkill for my needs? I just want a rig that can play 4x and RTS games with no slowdown at high graphics. I've been slumming it for years after I stopped building desktops. I want to get a rig that can do this but I don't want to overpay. I won't be playing FPS games or anything like that.
