There goes my triple monitor setup. Going to need to use Displayport on one of them.
Worst case, get a DP to HDMI adapter and call it a day, they're like $10 or less

If anyone has this monitor, can you chime in if it has speakers or audio out? Want to use it for work, but would be nice to hook up a switch or PS4 to game on the off hours while the wife is binging reality TV

250 nits - no deal at all
Because we all need 1000 nits, HDR and 210Hz to work in Excel, and you can easily find that for $159 right?

Right, but I don't think that will solve the DP sleep issue.

If I understand correctly, it's the DP input that's causing the issue. Since you'll use the 3rd monitor on HDMI input, I don't think (don't quote me) that it'll cause an issue

I bought 2 Acer displays a year ago, similar to this. One had 2 or 3 dead pixels. Luckily bought them at Costco, so return was painless. Might want to keep this in mind...

I never had a monitor with even just half decent built in speakers. I would rather get some small external speakers.

For sure, usually issue with HDMI is it passes audio to the cable (hence why it would be nice to have audio out)

It should only pass audio if the monitor advertises that it has speakers. In which case your system might default to playing audio out over HDMI, yes. But if it doesn't have a speaker I don't think it would show it as an available audio output.

The Amazon reviews on this monitor aren't so great. They scared me away.
The Amazon reviews are for another monitor. Check the dates on them, they're from 2020 and 2019 before the monitor even came out.

Any reviews on this monitor? Can't find it on Rtings.

edit: the Amazon version of the monitor (https://smile.amazon.com/Acer-KA2...ect=1&th=1 [amazon.com]) doesn't seem to have very good reviews... issues with bad picture quality and the monitor going to sleep and not waking up.
Again, most of those reviews are for a different monitor for some reason (21.5 inches and are from 2019 and 2020)
