I read people had issues with getting charged after the $1 deal. This deal asks for a card when renewing for $0/year. Use a virtual card that you can lock.

'mistake' aside ...
I looked into the deal itself
Dollar Flight club appears to have been started in 2015 and has enough bloggers promoting it
For this price with the 40% off coupon it was worth it for me at $60 for lifetime

I use stacksocial a lot to grab lifetime subscriptions and have not had a bad product yet, so, I think for $60 this will be good

Stacksocial did also have another lifetime app (travelhacker/travelhacker.app) that is more 'fishy' and only has a couple of blogs written by the stackcommerce promoting it - and it's $150 for the lifetime (pre-discount) - so, I chose to NOT get that one

I guess every businesses, companies are trying to make it as hard as possible for customers to save money.

I'm waiting for deal on price comparison for all toilet paper companies.

I got the Travelhacker lifetime deal for 50% off ($149 --> $74) back in August. It feels like it is in alpha stage. Some deal links they emailed/on their site/app did not open or were expired. The discount %'s they were showing original prices i didn't believe. Right now, all the original prices are showing as $0...Travelhacker has a long way to go

How/why is this better than the million other (free) flight services out there? Is it just for people with free time and no specific destination / lack of care about time in transit? I mean, more power to the people willing to save $150+ on a ticket by going to [random destination] at the last minute with 3 connections and a 12 hour overnight layover, but if that's the savings they're offering is not for me.

Now, if they can find the same one-stop BA flight into Lisbon or Madrid on a specific day for $150 less, I'm all ears.

Actually, the deals are usually for sometime in the future.
