I just picked one up today at Costco and can confirm that the Roku YouTube app does support speed change range of 0.25x to 2x.
Tested the 2x speed and the audio is played quite fast to a point of being unintelligible!
But if your brain works 2x faster than mine, then you should be able to understand it!

Be forewarned that this model seems to have bad vignetting / uneven brightness at the corners and edges. It's very noticeable with solid colors (do an all white screen test via YouTube and you'll see what I mean!) ... but not so for movies and dark backgrounds. Thought it was a defective tv, but a replacement had the same issue but was slightly less uneven.

I'm keeping the replacement since it has all the other bells and whistles for the given reasonable covid, post China tariff price of $349 at the warehouse:

* eARC
* Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos
* Auto Low Latency Gaming Mode + VRR
* Native Roku which I wholeheartedly recommend
* Alexa basic voice control via Roku Skill (manual did not disclose how to enable voice activation)
* Very loud sound which is decent enough for everyday use
* Reasonably bright screen using the "Brighter"/"Normal" video screen options

Why is this thread labeled "expired" and moved to Deal Talk? Costco stock is somewhat regional, so it'll be OOS for some zip codes and in stock for others

Does anyone know how the model lines of the Hisense compare?

R7G5 vs U6GR5?

Bought and am returning. I'm all for Hisense (only brand I have) but this is definitely a dud. Disappointing.
Not my experience. I actually think that this is an awesome TV. Love the colors and how responsive it is.

Nice, wonder if it is cheaper in-store now as well.

Oh, that would be nice for a quick price adjustment.

What sort of issues did you run into, the consensus seems mostly positive in the comments here.
Flaring on edges (brightness), odd sound which instead of filling the room like other tvs I have seems more targeted which is ok when watching but annoying when listening to what the kids are watching while I'm not facing the tv and lack of depth&pop with the colors which my other cheaper Hisense tvs have. My wife said the picture looked matte. I've gone thorough all of the settings for audio and video but haven't been able to come close to my other models. Maybe I just got a dud. Sharing nonetheless in the event someone else has a similar experience. I'll post the model of my other for comparison.

50H6C is the latest one I'm using as a baseline. 50vs55.

What's the regular price on this? Hard to find considering this is exclusive to Costco only.

1. It's down to $350 online now from when I originally posted.
2. It's been $350 in the store as I put in the OP, perhaps not at your store though or they took a while to catch up. See photo I attached.
3. You can price match your Costco.com purchase through their website here [costco.com].
4. Store will not price match your Costco.com purchase, but you can return and rebuy in-store if you don't want to do the online price match submission form.

Airplay yes, but I haven't been able to cast to it like I can with my Roku Ultra.

Go one today, no problems.
Bummed that it doesn't have AccuWeather, Cinema and a few others that Fire TV supports

Yes, Youtube app is in the Roku Appstore for it. I downloaded it and it works fine
