I bought a Shark several years ago refurbished from Newegg. It replaced a Dyspn. This thing is half as heavy and half as loud. It's been solid even though it seems of lesser quality than a Dyson. I was really surprised because I wasn't sure what to expect. If it wasn't still working perfectly, I'd get another.

I found this at Bed Bath for $100, and thought it was better for me being that it's new. I bought it yesterday, and they delivered it this morning:

Good deal but the one listed here is a updated model with self cleaning brush.

Hmm, good find. Top upright vacuum pick from Wirecutter since 2014. Can anyone confirm if Beyond+ members get 20% off? Item does say it is excluded from coupons. Not sure if the Beyond+ 20% is the same.

Update: The Beyond+ members 20% does not apply.

A refurb shark for $70 is a million times better than any comparable vacuum at this price point. Parts and filters readily available online, and are very easy to service and repair compared to a dyson. If you've always owned those cheap Bissell, Hoover, Eureka, or Dirt Devil machines from Walmart, a Shark will suck up dirt from your carpet that you didn't know was there. They also have hepa filtration which is good if you're sensitive to dust and dander. Most vacuums under $150 don't have hepa filters. know I sound like payed advertising, but that's really my opinion. There's a reason why a lot of carpet cleaning businesses use shark vacuums to pre-vacuum carpets before steaming. They're a really good value, and at this price point, it's a no brainer if you're looking for an upright vacuum for your carpet.
No, replacement parts are not available and the filters are half the quality of the oem ones. Buy it hope it last a year or two and toss.

I received my order. Arrived in very good condition. Little or no signs of previous use. Really good suction! On max suction, its a bit of a workout to push it on my 2nd floor carpet compared to my Hoover canister.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but did get tracking number. Is coming from a 3rd party refurbishing company, ie. is not Amazon stock. Refurbishing company is:

http://www.sohnen.com/

Not being amazon stock or returns might actually be a good thing hopefully. Since that company all it does is refurbish thing hopefully it won't be a returned smelly one that just got thrown into Amazon's warehouse and resold.

Will see. Good to heard at least from S_Klass he got a good one.

Well, mine arrived. Definitely wouldn't have bought it even for $69 if had seen it before hand. These are definitely note Sharp Factory Refurbished. Woot is kind of false advertising these as factory Refurbished, when in reality is a woot 3rd party refurbishing company. Mine came with dust on the tubes, hairs on the roller, and hairs on the foam filter. It is heavily scuffed all over, white scratches all over. It seems the previous honor used some kind of carpet scented dust cleaner as the foam filter had a heavy scent. Even the tie wraps used on the electrical cables were old used ones that were peeling off and showed signs of heavy usage. The only thing new on the unit are the HEPA filter and the filter that is under the foam filter. My unit was definitely used for several months (years?) by the previous owner, ie. it was not a mere buy and return unit. Maybe something broke and was returned under warranty or a Costco return, who knows.

I knew this was going to be a huge gamble and a very likely lose lose gamble given it was Woot. I will stick to Dyson's refurbished ebay store next time. Those indeed are like new units.

The suctions on this unit was not great compared to the previous Dyson I had, but I suspect it might be an issue with this unit and not the model itself. The canister is small, it gets filled fairly quick which might be considered a negative but on the other hand it was easy to clean due to the size.

For $69 I think I will keep this one in the garage for cleaning the cars. Don't want to deal with Woot's customer support. Might go to Costco and check out another Shark or wait for Dyson's refurb ebay store to have some available.

Future would be buyers from Woot allege factory refurb units be warned, they are not Sharp refurbished.
